Outside of Bear and Saban, only one baw has won a title at Alabama since the 40's.

That’s not surprising. Their Bama careers combined make up 40 of the 70 years in that time period. Fortunately for Bama we don’t think football started in 2000, so we count championships from the 20 and 30s.

So in that time period, sans Bear and Saban, Alabama averaged 1 title every 42 years.

Meanwhile, LSU has averaged one every 19.75 years in the same time period.

For it to be so easy to win one off titles, Alabama sure wasnt finding many people to do it in those non Saban or Bear years.

Good thing we had Saban and Bear.

I agree.

Simply refuting the poster's comment that its easier to win a title at Bama than LSU.

It doesn't appear to be that easy if you aren't Saban or Bear.

It seems to me it's easier at Bama. It's been done more often. This seems simple to understand.

When they finally find the right QB and 10 on offense and 11 on defense to compliment him.

Not sure what time period you are talking about, Alabama has won at least 1 NC every decade since 1920 with the exception of the 50's and 80's.

100 years divided by 17 is one NC every 5.88 years.

Since 1060, Alabama has won 12 NC, 60 years divided by 12 is one title every 5 years.

edit to add- even if you go from 1980-2008, that is 28 years and Alabama won 1 NC, so somewhere your numbers are way off

The bulk of those have came from two guys.

That points more to Alabama having two GOAT coaches than just being an easy place to win.

No need, as usual your research into anything is flawed. I was trying to be nice by giving you the correct numbers.

I sure hope you do not do anything with mathematics that pertains to people, you suck at it.

edit to add- I can use same logic about LSU. They went from 1958- 2007 without a NC, 49 years not counting the one Saban won in 2003

Ask Georgia and Texas A&M.

It’s apparently very difficult for them.

Oh, I do child, but as usual your research skills are lacking (or maybe it is your ability to understand the research)

A person who knew what was happening in the topic would know what my numbers came from, you clearly do not.

Oh I know what you did. You selected a very specific time period (the 1940's to now) to try and prove that it is difficult for a coach other than Coach Bryant and Coach Saban to win a NC at Alabama.

That reasoning is flawed due to circumstances of reduced scholarships from 1996 to 2007, among other things.

Edit to add- Alabama should have won the NC in 1946, and played for the NC in 1989, for example

No child, I read it before hand, that was the reason why I showed you the true numbers. Alabama averages a NC every 5.88 years since 1920.

edit to add- but I am still laughing at you.....

You included Bryant and Saban which is clearly not part of the exercise.

Having a bunch of titles by two coaches speaks to those coaches more than Alabama itself. Without those guys, Akabama is just like anyone else.
