Under NCAA and Federal investigation. 2 years in a row of major coaching turnover. Put a dogshit product on the field in 2020. Opt outs and transfers. O loses team for being a Trump supporter.

And yet, the corndogs are still landing a top 4 class and are probably going to beat Bama and A&M for the top WR in Louisiana.

The best comparison I could think of is Auburns 2012 recruiting class. 1 mediocre 8-4 season removed from a national championship. They pulled in the #11 class but didn't have all the other baggage and turmoil.

Is it just the LSU bagmen or is there some other Cajun magic at play here?

Ole Miss signed a top 5 class while the NCAA had a foot long probe up our asses.

And that was when we had Coach Os most successful understudy as our head coach

I'll let you do the math

But honestly I think it has a lot to do with how much playing time our freshmen class saw last year.

It's been speculated that the year after winning a title you get a big recruiting bump. BAMA usually dominates every year so it's kinda hard to crunch those numbers. We got a few flips from LSU and they mentioned the unrest specifically as the reason. But neither one resided in the state of LA.

Mostly because even with all of that going on, it's still a better program than TAMU...

I blame O ultimately but it's sad that politics is used as a weapon in everything these days. People are just sheep that love to bleat out whatever they read or hear on tv/the net.

Say what you want about LSU but they are one of the best if not the best at getting their brand out there. And I don’t think many outside the rant give two shits about a 5-5 record. They are more likely to remember the 2019 season.

The same way A&M lands the #6 class last year after going 8-5.
