How did Tennessee look?

Didn't get to watch the game. Saw it was a nail biter. Did UT seem like they are making strides in the right direction, or did UGA just have an off day?

Yeah, I think both is the best answer.
UT was very well prepared. Two of the three forth down conversions in the 4th quarter were very well scripted. Butch/et al. really had the team prepared. The blocked punt was also a result of something they saw. (Don't give too much credit there though, the whole world saw it too)
UT's secondary looked like a bulb went off and they played better.
Murray wasn't great. He was off a bit. That is until crunch time. He was a great leader and QB in the last few minutes of the game.
GA's O-line wasn't getting a good push like they did against LSU. Again, they seems a bit off or confused.
I also think GA had a let down. No way they saw that coming. I am willing to bet the week of practice leading up to that game wasn't good.
Injuries really hurt GA. Yes they are part of the game, but their backups were well prepared.
Bottom line is every team that has won a national championship - or a conference title - have escaped with a close win like that.
GA will be fine.
UT should be happy. Neyland was rocking in the 4th quarter against a top team. That hasn't happened in years. Further, they were well prepared and executed well. I like the future.
I know I am biased, but thats how I saw it.

Worley got in a great rhythm in the second half and TN's freshman trio of receivers (Croom, Smith and North) all are progressing well. Pig Howard was used really well in this game (no faulting him for the game losing fumble.) and Rajion Neal ran the best in his career.
TN's D played better but still couldn't stop them with the game on the line. Defensive recruiting is going great for the VOLS right now and we need it cause there are spots where the talent just isn't competitive.

Like trash bags. The uniforms anyway.

I liked the unis... A little weird they used the same helmet, but the smoke grey looked good

UT played their best game all season. Georgia started off well, but a combination of injuries and early success seemed to hurt them, and they lulled along for a while with poor execution.
Georgia's secondary played poorly the whole game, and their defensive line did not have any push. Still, they did enough to win.

The grey was fine. It was the weird design that was putrid that reminded me of a Glad trash bag. Pardon my lack of knowledge of UT football, but here lately it seems as if teams take random colors and wear them. I heard that was their 3rd time wearing grey uniforms. Why?
Georgia has worn some hideous combos, but stuck to school colors. Grey is not the color of daisies UT is known for.

Rocky Top was loud and frequent. Good to see the Vols on the way back. The East needs a strong UT.

But Smoky Gray is a color on the Official University of Tennessee Palette, and has been used as accent colors in other sports in the past.
The Color is:
SMOKEY
PMS 426
CMYK 0 0 0 85
HEX 4C4D4F

Smokey Gray is Tennessee's third official color after Pantone 151 and white.

Where does this atrocity fit in?

I still can't believe that we lost the game by that much
I thought we made some major strides, especially on offense. UGAs defense got torched the entire 2nd half on big plays.

UT wore black jerseys until the early '20's.

You didn't. Even if you made that play, it doesn't necessarily mean you win

Not necessarily, but the fact that we went out and stood them up 3 straight plays and forced the FG is promising.

They were playing for the field goal.

Nope...UT should have run the clock down before making their last score in regulation. They left too much time on the clock for Georgia, and UGA got a little help from the refs to send it into OT.
