We definitely have our share of blind optimists. There will always been someone who thinks we're going to win the SEC every year.

I think you guys will be "fine" on defense on talent alone.
You won't be what you were under Chavis, but you'll still be the top half of the SEC.
I think what you should let marinate is the fact that a historically shitty defensive school like aTm stole him from you, it took you two weeks not far out from NSD to hire someone you could have gotten 2 weeks ago if you'd really wanted him. To act like this isn't a huge disappointment and a pretty bad-but-not-worst case scenario for how your coaching search went is the worst delusion I would ever have seen here.
I mean good grief, you guys are LSU. This is a huge disappointment.

What? If Arkansas named Steele their DC and Orgeron their defensive line coach we would laugh at them just as hard. This isn't about LSU as it is the hires LSU made.
