That would be 'moral' not 'morale.' And nope, we don't care for moral victories but even a historically bad 2010 UT team made LSU look silly.

There sure are a lot of idiots on this board. Unbalanced schedules were less of a problem with the 5-1-2 format vs the 6-1-1 format but I guess you have to have a f****** brain to figure that out.

You just proved my point.

My only beef with the scheduling is that LSU lost a road trip to Kentucky. Hell, I would not mind playing them if they were ranked #1 or #108, I just enjoy going to Lexington for a SEC road trip

Same reason you don't care today and Alabama didn't care from 2000-2006

Lawds have mercy some folks are in dire need of an education. A historically lousy team making LSU look like fools does not equal moral victory. It equals a loss and failure. However, it also exposes the paper tigers some in the LSU fanbase have become as you should've dominated that game.
Be proud of your strength of schedule and get better. Take care of BAMA and Floride -- we have to face them every year too but do you see us whining?

Because BAMA wasn't winning NC's then, plain and simple. Now we are and they hate it, and need an excuse for why.

Nope. That game for LSU was what's called a Pyrrhic victory because it made them look like fools and exposed faults in a talented team. For us, it was simply a loss.

I agree, there was less imbalance when we had two permanents. Who was lsu's other?
Oh and I can't recall, who were auburns two permanent rivals?

Auburn's 2 permanents were UGA and Florida
Some great games in both series. I always thought we should be in the East and play Bama as permanent, but I guess being the closest school geographically to Florida does not make since so they put Mizzou in the east.

So for ten years we played the two hardest teams from the other division? What a fricking travesty. Surely we penciled each of those games as "L's" before we even played the season. I am sure there was a huge uproar for ten years. I am sure the auburn ad, coaches, and fans bitched about the unfairness.
