There is no primetime slot anymore just good games spread throughout the day randomly each week. Obviously with the extra teams there are more good games which maybe you could argue is a good thing but i liked and miss there being a set window for the biggest game every week. It just felt bigger and more important. Of course the watering down of the regular season means there aren't big games like there used to be.
Also cbs production is far superior in every way.

The networks don’t seem to give a shite. The majority of people in here are pissed at Sankey for this last tv deal.
The ALABAMA fans on this forum are still unaware of or simply naive about how much ESPN's 9 game schedule demand is going to hurt SEC football.
Sankey sold us out. Fans are now talking more about firing coaches than on the product itself. And it is going to just get worse with an extra conference cannibal game.
"The networks don’t seem to give a shite" is an understatement. ESPN simply sucks.

In my 47 years on this earth, it has always been associated with the SEC.
It was commissioned for CBS’s college football broadcasts (not conference specific) and originally debuted at Super Bowl XXI in 1987 which was broadcast by the network.

quote:Agree. I was apprehensive at first because I’ve grown up with CBS but ABC/ESPN crushes having the 3 biggest games of the day on one channel
the 3 game slate every Satruday on ABC blows CBS out of the water.

The CBS broadcast team had become annoying and unwatchable. ABC is better, but the commercial breaks are excessive. The lack of replays in the Bama/Mizzou game was ridiculous.

I don't know. The entertainment value of the SEC is off the charts now. Anyone can win any game.
I find myself watching all day now instead of just the Missouri game.
