Because it’s college baseball. Nobody gives a shite outside a few schools in the SEC, one or two in California, and same in Texas. I’m surprised Missouri even plays. Watching a bunch of college kids play “baseball” with metal bats in 30 degree weather sounds awful.

Half the SEC averages more in baseball attendance than Missouri does for basketball -- which is supposed to be your sport (despite the fact you've never been to a final four).

I live in NE Kansas, everyone loves the Chiefs up here. The pecking order is the Chiefs, then Royals, then either K-State football or KU basketball depending on where you're at.
Missouri is similiar, very pro sports oriented. It's all about the Cardinals and Blues, no one cares about Mizzou.

I’m old enough to remember when Mizzou football was a big deal in both cities, but that all changed when chancellor Barbara Uehling (RIP) and the rest of the administration neglected the athletic department. They wouldn’t post a winning record until 1996, but by that time the Chiefs and Blues passed them by.
