As fricked up as our relatively new constitution is they have to set away a percentage of surpluses to the rainy day fund. But yeah, the rest of that is going in to some connected baws accounts.

AU paid $21mm to Malzahn and our biggest known contributing alum is broke dick Yella-Wood. There's money at every SEC campus.

Calling Tim Cook? Hello?

Always find it funny when southeastern states call other southeastern states poor.

Well Since Biden took office, he shut down domestic land oil and gas exploration. Oil prices have gone through the roof. Louisiana still has significant oil and gas leases, although more of ours are just offshore which don't pay royalties like the land leases, but still with Oil at $85/bbl, Louisiana has a $1 billion dollar budget surplus. Lots of these good ole boys that have oil leases around the state are rolling in the money. Private donors had the money ready to go before the season started.

Maybe we ain’t broke.

Just because the state is broke, doesn’t mean TAF is broke. There is a reason TAF is not part of the public fisc and is made up entirely of private donations.

True, except even the state’s not broke this year. There was a $1 Billion budget surplus just announced for the state of Louisiana. Skimming some $17 mil off of a porkulous pork project should be child’s play for the spiritual heirs of Edwin Edwards and Huey Long.

No, that does not it just means Oil prices are through the roof, it cost more for gas for individuals but the State of Louisiana is flush with cash due to increase Oil and Gas revenues.

I think Biden is the worst thing since Jimmy Carter for the record. I was only explaining why Louisiana is actually financially in pretty good shape budget wise and for people who have oil and gas leases, they are making a killing.

Now I would rather Trump's policies where there was more exploration so price of oil was lower, but still high enough to provide some tax revenues to the state, but the price of gas was more economical for the broader American public.
