Did you not understand what he said? he admitted that the SEC is in a down year THIS year. His point was the SEC was so tough during the title run because we played tough teams.

Right over your head, or you are willfully ignoring plain logic.

Oh, THIS year.

Why did we win it all last year, then?

Must have been that tough ACC schedule we play every year had up prepared. Or maybe, Clemson just had a really good team.

You really do have an inferiority complex, don't you? Ok. I'll say it to make you feel better. because you had a good team.

Now, how does that change what he said? that playing a tough schedule is one of the reasons the SEC was so strong during our 7 straight year run of National Championships.

BTW, let me know when the ACC wins 7 in a row.

Who said you didn't? Now. Feel better?
You really feel awful because nobody is falling all over themselves to you, don't you?

I doubt Clemson cares about the SEC. They are located in the southeast region, and their league may be top to bottom better this year.

You mean Tennessee, LSU, Florida, Auburn and Bama's run of BCS NC. UGA never sniffed the championship game.

It's hard to tell, really, but it's possible. The certainly do have an inferiority complex though, and I'm curious why? I mean, we have several posters that stay on a SEC message board, and cry if we don't stroke their egos and tell them they really did have a good team last year. They don't seem to understand that winning a National Championship does not make their lives better or my life worse in any way. And after reading some of their posts, I would say winning a National Championship doesn't make them smarter, either.

You didn't understand that we were talking about conferences? Maybe you should have read through the thread before responding, then. Which conference is your team from, again? When was the last time it won 7 in a row?

Oh, and by the way.....Tennessee didn't win one during the 7 year stretch, either. You sure know your football.

Not to mention the rather liberal definition of "never sniff(ing) the championship game"... Fine to say we didn't play in one, but 2012 SECCG would probably disagree with the premise of "sniffing"...

I’m laughing my tail off reading all of this. All y’all Clemson fans need to realize how incredibly stupid and idiotic y’all are.... so stupid that y’all have a bunch of UGA fans cleaning your clocks in this thread. UGA fans are probably the tamest, coolest bunch on here. They are generally lower-key and hard to troll (cuz just about everyone here likes em)....... and y’all Clemson idiots got em going. I don’t know whether to congratulate y’all or shake my head and pity yalls incredible idiocy.

You must be a closet USCe fan.

Did it make you feel good to know that all those teams kicking your arse were winning championships? I'm not sure what to make of your post. If Clemson isn't winning, what joy would VT winning a championship give me?

"Well, we couldn't do it, but a team that kicked the shite out of us in September sure won it all!"

IF Georgia ever manages to win anything, you'll have a different outlook. You don't even know what winning feels like.

It made me no smarter, I assure you. It made my life no better in any measurable way.

But, I have an inferiority complex because I'm posting in a thread with CLEMSON right in the title? Giving reasons why Clemson would have zero interest in going to the SEC? That's pretty good.

I'll tell you what is good about winning one - getting to smear it in Georgia and USCe fans' faces. And then being name-called because it hurts your feelings.

Great point!
We certainly did "sniff" it, didn't we?

Not a fan, but I don't mind them. I don't know why y'all are so threatened by them, if you think you are so superior.

Nope. We had our years, too. came within an eyelash of winning it all in 2012. I mean you've had 3 years where you came close to winning a National Championship in 40 years, but you think you are a great program. We've at least had several years where we finished top 5, since 1980.

I understand that. So instead of trying to tell people how good you are last year and this year, why don't you address the OP? It shows your insecurity to try to change the topic instead of just addressing the question and moving on.

And you think a Georgia fan would care because.......why? Clemson winning it has as much affect on me as BYU winning it. You aren't our rivals.

Mind pointing out where I called you a name? Insecurity. if anybody disagrees with you, or doesn't tell you haw good your team is you take offense.

Actually no. If you think we are in any way triggered or upset, you are wrong. Just mention Bo/Herschel or Gurley/Fournette or Chubb/Guice and you will see some of them come apart, though!

I am amazed this thread is still going on...The closest I would say Clemson would have ever thought about jumping conferences was when the merry-go-round of conference alignment was going on..It was a real mess full of speculation.

If the ACC looked as if were in trouble of falling apart then Clemson and probably FSU would have tried to find a new landing home...When Maryland, a founding member of the ACC jumped ship that just addend to the speculation.

John Swofford, who ironically Clemson fans don't like due to his UNC ties, was brilliant in poaching the Big East to the point of making that league fall apart in football...West Virginia wanted in the ACC but was not invited and they had to settle for the best deal they could get and ended up in the Big 12...which is a league that is still on thin ice IMO.

There were rumors of Clemson and FSU going to the Big 12 as well if the SEC would not have taken them...

Bottom line is Clemson is a founding member of the ACC and the conference is probably has healthy as it has even been. It is winning Football national titles with multiple teams and winning basketball titles with multiple teams. The school just opened up a 50 million dollar football complex and Dabo is the second highest paid coach in the nation coming off a national title.

The real question is what schools in the SEC, Big 10, American and even the Big 12 might want to be in the ACC?

If Notre Dame ever joins and the conference wants a 16th member to balance the division I have a feeling they won't have any problems finding a college that would crawl on broken glass to get in.
