have you watched college football the last five years? Have you been in a cave ? Clemson may lose the rest of their games but when did Georgia play in two straight national title games? I must have missed it

I sure have. I watched us spank your behind to the tune of 45-21 in 2014.

We've done it more often than Clemson has. But why talk about Georgia? You keep posting, but still haven't given us your take on why Clemson wants to be in the SEC so badly. You seem to want to change the subject soooo badly.

Odd that Clemson fans seem to think football began 5 years ago, though. hard to blame them, though.
BTW, 3 years ago you lost three games. That's a major power to you?

I think the real roommate swap that needs to happen is:
Missouri to the B1G
Maryland back to the ACC
Virginia Tech to the SEC

This is actually the perfect scenario. 1) It gets rid of Missouri, who rode our coattails to the SEC, 2) It creates one more great end of year SEC/ACC matchup with VTs annual game with VA (assuming VA didn't go all "texas" on them and refuse to play), 3) Provides a valuable tv market to the league, and 4) VT is a much more natural fit in the SEC than Missouri, especially in the East.

I like Clemson, it's a good school. But Clemson IS the ACC. They've always been there and it is THEIR league in football. Or maybe it is theirs to share with FSU. Either way you slice it, they will never be in the SEC as long as USC is around. South Carolina is just too small of a state to have two members.

Clemson needs to just enjoy the ride and their turn to rule the roost before Saben retires and Swinney leaves.

I'd hate for us to lose VT, but no one in the ACC would take Maryland back. They've been shitty at everything for years, and Louisville was a huge competitive upgrade. WVU would be a pretty good trade for VT, though.

You are correct that Clemson would never leave the ACC; the Tobacco Road clan runs shite, but there really isn't much to complain about anymore. A good team can win from any conference, and there is only so much money they can spend. If it were all about money, USCe and Tennessee wouldn't suck.
As long as FSU stays and keeps some football "star power" in here, Clemson, Miami and VT are a pretty good football base and the conference is stable. If ND ever signs the dotted line for real, that's a top tier football list. The ACC is competitive nationally in most of the other sports, and really outstanding in some.

That's why it was part of the joke about your schoolbus comment, but I guess it went over your head.

You keep talking about 2014 but Clemson finished ranked higher than Georgia did. The 2014 team lost all their offense with Sammy Watkins and Boyd. It’s very similar to this season. Clemson cant win 14 games every year. This year is a rebuilding year

Here's the problem I have with your post.

You refer to Maryland being "shitty at everything" which obviously refers to other sports in addition to football and you also refer to other sports when you mention the ACC is competitive nationally in sports other than football. Yet you refer to Carolina as sucking.

Allow me to refresh your memory of the fact that South Carolina holds more national championships collectively than Clemson does when being all inclusive in reference to sports both universities compete in.

You expanded your post to include "other sports" so don't reply that you were only referencing football. Can't have it both ways, sweetheart.

Lets be real here, you just mean basketball and football.

No one cares what Maryland or Louisville do in any other minor sport so don't act like you care about the Women's Lax programs or Golf.

I understand your argument. But what you are missing is the fact that footprint and market share are the two factors that have driven realignment, with geographic location being secondary. Competitiveness is way down the list.

With that being said, Maryland is an attractive "get," which is why they are in the B1G now and Louisville isn't. Maryland brought the entire package of footprint and market share. This is also why WV is in the XII and not in the SEC or ACC. Louisville is nothing more than Cincinnati with better football and basketball. They are both commuter schools in relatively small cities. And they are also both a poor draw when compared to Ohio State, Kentucky, and Indiana. However, I will say that Louisville is the more desirable of the two. The reality is that losing Maryland to the B1G was a huge blow to the ACC.

With that being said, my proposal for a roommate switch would be painless, and a net win for everyone!

And let's not forget that Maryland has won a NC in basketball.

Let's see how many of these championships USCe has won. I know you already know this, but equestrian and fishing are not NCAA sanctioned sports. Those are fake. Go ahead and claim some quidditch championships while you're at it. They are as popular as WBB.

For years in the ACC, Maryland was down in football, baseball, and basketball. They may have been world champs in girl's basketball. I have no idea. They weren't good in anything anyone wants to watch.

Right now, in the ACC, the only perks that come with winning the NC is that all of the Oconee and Pickens county mailboxes now have a tiger paw, very few of which translate into licensed revenue for the university.

There's probably a few more tiger paw mailboxes in the Charleston and Dorchester counties as well, almost as many tiger paws as buckeyes at this point.

how do you know our state so well???

UGA has to be glad Clemson isnt in the SEC. They'd own the SEC East most years.

Funny...my dad said he remembers vividly when Clemson played UCONN for the natty in WBB. Said you frickers were ALL ABOUT some women's basketball then.

Typical taters.

Don't confuse Clemson owning auburn with Clemson owning uga. It's a bad look.

Dude. I was asked if I had watched football in the last 5 years. I merely pointed out that Georgia whipped you and that you finished with 3 losses one of those years. If Clemson got beat by an inferior Georgia team, then that is your problem, not mine.
If that bunches up your drawers then that's the breaks.

Every team that is halfway decent loses good players yearly.
