One day...I will have the pleasure of sitting in those loge chairs, just have to wait to have 20K to drop on the suite.

I'm referring to the comfortable chairback seats with the mini fridges. It's Mizzou's alternative to suites...Mizzou fan would be able buy tickets for two seats and a mini fridge in a club like setting.
And you can move those seats around. A group could buy a block of the seats and sit together.

gotcha. those chairs look really uncomfortable btw. they're too long, but not long enough to lay your legs all the way out. they're the worst length.

Well an LSU version should be more comfortable, and be one seat with a mini-fridge. Those would sell like hotcakes.
Groups would be able to arrange their seats in a block, with maybe a big table with fridges under it.
That might even be reason enough to expand the north end zone. A much cheaper alternative to suites.

Could see Baton Rouge getting upset that a good chunk of their Friday night, football game weekend bidness is lost to New Orleans.
Then again, it depends on how late these trains run.
I think enough traffic would come in to offset the people going out. That study done earlier showed that LSU generated almost $400 million dollars per year for the Baton Rouge economy just from athletic events. In all, LSU generates more than $1.3 billion annually and created almost 22,000 jobs in the BR metro area.

I guess you're right.
I guess the amount of people leaving for New Orleans on a Friday wouldn't be as great as I originally thought. Most people would rather get an early and energized start on Saturday morning than a 2:00 AM departure from New Orleans just to take a train to Baton Rouge.

I bet it would be used a lot by fans of teams visiting Tiger Stadium. They could stay in NOLA and take the train to BR for the game and then back to NOLA. Kind f like a lot of them do already with busses.

This is why it's ABSOLUTELY IDIOTIC for us to play OOC games at neutral sites in Texas or Atlanta. We're basically giving away money that would partially fund LSU to partially fund A&M, UT and Texas Tech.

You mean fund Arkansas & USCe. Jerry Jones & Bob McNair thank you.

I really don't think any other group you could name would use it more often or in greater numbers. Sports fan usage would be seasonal. LSU students would use it 24/7/365.

my only guess was he was making an lsu students drink and drive joke. otherwise i have no idea what he's getting at.

I was thinking he meant sports fans, particularly visiting fans, would use it more. Dunno.
My point is, LSU will have easier and constant access. I'm guessing the trolley to the Government Street stop will cost a couple of bucks. Then it'll be around $10 for a 79 minute ride to NOLA from BR. Not bad at all.
If I was a student at LSU, heck yeah I'd use that. Prolly every week, too.
