Kudos to the LSU AD for creating such a logical design. Tennis fans at the LSU Tennis Facility will be able to watch a match at one court, then go up to the walkway and quickly and easily go sit down to watch yet another match at another court, indoors or outdoors, using that same walkway. Also easy to get to restrooms and concessions. LSU really has been doing some creative thinking when it comes to expansions/construction/renovations.
Edit: Looks like capacity will be a little over 2,000. Capacity at the old tennis center was 550. There is also a significant amount of standing room only space at the new tennis center.
The South End Zone addition to Tiger Stadium set a new standard for how end zone expansions are done.
Premium seating and convenience to restrooms and concessions are maximized in that design.

I don't know about you but I'm loving those damn oil prices here in Dallas. Haha

Steel is starting to go up.
The massive student rec center in the background is also undergoing an expansion of its own.
We've got a long way to go, and a short time to get there...

GP has convinced our AD to scrap plans for renovating the IPF and instead are going to renovate the south endzone first. I haven't seen any drawings or plans for that as of yet.
Missouri's Board of Curators just today approved $16 million plans to build a new softball stadium. The only drawing I've seen so far, so not sure if it's an actual drawing of what is planned.

I highly doubt Mizzou and UGA especially will ever celebrate a division clincher at SC.. considering we typically play UGA early in the season and Mizzou in mid season.
Maybe Mizzou, but not UGA.. just off scheduling alone.

They've been prepping for construction. They want the IPF done by early September, progress should be pretty swift.

fair enough, those do fall early in the schedule, still they are very likely to be games that decide the div.

Mizzou is currently feeling out architects and preliminary proposals for the South Endzone Expansion. Construction could start as soon as November of 2016.

Given what UF's IPF looks like, it shouldn't take long at all. It's basically just a giant pavillion with easy-up walls.

outside of the new softball park which is a much needed and done deal now that it's signed off on, this project might be the cornerstone of the new AD that Bowtiger(Bowen Loftin) will be hiring.
I guess Populous and 360 are too busy to crank out any pro-bono early mockup drafts, I would guess one of them will likely get the contract. It will be interesting to see if they can come up with a plan that will meld the differing east and west side designs, into a smooth and somewhat seamless transition.

Please don't take Jason Cook unless you just want to get him some experience before he comes back to A&M.

I think these programs that are just mindlessly expanding will regret it in a few years.

Holy God.
I didn't realize what a crap hole Kyle Field was. It looks god awful and matches the surrounding perfectly.
The new stuff will be dope though I'm sure.

an article Matter wrote about it made him sound like one of the top candidates, especially based on Bowtiger's mention that the next guy has to be exceptionally media savy.

You're working on the assumption that it's "mindless," it is not. It's been decades coming and long overdue.
We won't sell out a crap game every now and then but money will not be cheaper and making a go at it in one fell swoop is the smart move.
Hell, we have seating alone for 40K students, at a heavily subsidized by the alumni, rate.
