I generally like our newer facilities, but I really think LSU dropped the ball on this one. The cheap industrial looking building could have been done better.

I agree. I actually preferred the first renderings they released when the thought was to build it near U-Club and also make it membership based. I can't remember why they scratched that but IIRC, the lot they chose across from Alex Box was too small and had to go back to the drawing board.

I love the design of this baseball facility. It would be awesome to have one of those rooms overlooking the outfield.
Are they going to be private apartments/condos?
Private condos. Rumor is they are going to go for about $50k/yr to alums and will be accessible year round. Initial renderings show us building 25 of these, but will be "as demanded" -- so it could easily end up being more...

It looks like our next step is going to be replacing the South end zone seating.

Alden and executive associate AD Bryan Maggard met with a few reporters today to lay out long-term plans for a new facility that will house the day-to-day operations of the football program: coaches’ offices, locker room, weight room, training room, etc. The new building, planned for just south of Memorial Stadium, will free up current space occupied by the football team in Mizzou Athletics Training Complex, located across Providence Boulevard.
Sometime in January, Mizzou will launch a “scope analysis” for the project, during which they’ll meet with campus officials to decide what the project will include and kick around cost estimates. From there, Alden said, it will take about three years to complete the project — nine to 12 months to design the complex and another 24-30 months to build it.

I still like the idea of "luxury rocks"

Went to VHs for the first time this past year.
Really enjoyed the experience. The stadium allowed me to imagine what it was like watching a football game back in the 50s-60s.

Kentucky is doing a good job with their renovations. I really like how they are focusing more on the fan experience instead of just trying to increase the number of asses they can fit in seats.

The upper two decks straight ahead in this picture are part of the east side and will be the oldest remaining portions of the stadium.
I know that's all correct but you still suck for pointing it out. The 3rd deck was built during my time at A&M... so yeah, of course it's old.

Didn't even know they had colleges during the dark ages.

All structures account for a certain degree of movement, and Kyle Field is no exception. As students sway back and forth during the Aggie War Hymn, they’ll notice that the east side is now stiffer than the west, since Phase I incorporated additional steel support with concrete. The crew poured roughly 100 shear walls on the east side to support the backside of the existing second and third decks.
Swaying is completely different than a deck bouncing up and down when everyone is jumping to Zombie Nation,
