So, will there be anything remaining from the old stadium? Or is it essentially gonna be a new stadium?

Depends on what you mean by "the old stadium"

The upper two decks of the student section (east side) remain pretty much untouched except for the canopy over the top deck.
The south end zone structure was brand new this past season (it was just a set of bleachers before).
The north end zone isn't changing that much save for redoing the facade, and the structure itself isn't really that old (built in the late 90s).
The alumni side (west side) is the only side of the stadium that's being completely torn down and rebuilt.
Kyle Field has always been rather piecemeal in structure, and the final iteration this coming season will be an amalgamation of several structures.

The upper two decks straight ahead in this picture are part of the east side and will be the oldest remaining portions of the stadium. The first deck was demolished last off season to make room for suites.
The north side, on the left, known as The Zone was built in '98 and will also remain. The south end zone, to the right, is the portion they built last offseason.

I think I may make the drive up and bring the kids to watch it.
That kind of stuff doesn't happen every day. May make the run to the Chicken for some Tiajuana Fries and a Death Burger too.

I heard from many people that the 2nd and 3rd decks at Kyle field move up and down during games. Are yall doing anything in the offseason to strengthen these decks so they don't collapse?

Tennis/Softball renovation starting immediately after the season(we host the SEC tourney in 2 years):
New Men's and Women's Golf facility almost completed at Old Waverly...
Dudy Noble still on the horizon. Breaks ground either June 2015 or June 2016 depending on when we raise the first $20mil in private donations and finish the feasibility aspects of it...
Expected distributed sound and further ribbon boards in Davis Wade. Also expect a timetable for a lower east renovation to bring the whole lower level of the stadium up to modern standards. ETA: We're in feasibility of figuring out how to(easiest) get more skyboxes into DWS. We've underbuilt(or underpriced) them twice now...

GT ave. attendance 2014: 49,077
KY ave. attendance 2014: 57,572
In retort to the 1 fan comment. In a season where we are renovating and suck, and you guys were actually good.

I love the design of this baseball facility. It would be awesome to have one of those rooms overlooking the outfield.
Are they going to be private apartments/condos?

Although it goes against common sense to respond to any of your posts ....
Not unlike other structures of Kyle's size, the stadium is engineered to sway, so that it doesn't collapse.
Think seismic precautions.
In actuality, the taller a structure, the more flexible it is.

All structures account for a certain degree of movement, and Kyle Field is no exception. As students sway back and forth during the Aggie War Hymn, they’ll notice that the east side is now stiffer than the west, since Phase I incorporated additional steel support with concrete. The crew poured roughly 100 shear walls on the east side to support the backside of the existing second and third decks.

Perhaps the most unique factor that sets the current construction apart from its predecessors is the technology available to aid design. Engineers now model Kyle Field’s construction with design software, but their designs can build on an exact digital replica of the stadium — laser technology allows the team to “scan” Kyle Field, upload the data and interact with it digitally. “We’re constantly in a 3D modeling software called BIM, or building information modeling,” said Jim Cuddihee, senior superintendent with Manhattan Vaughn. “We can take a laser scanner, set it out in the building and create a 3D image. On the computer we can walk through the building, revising the steel and observing its interaction with the concrete.”
