Don't kill me. Just throwing this out there.
Both schools have huge Houston fanbases that would sell the place out every season, and it would help both in recruiting.

Sounds cool at first...ala A&M in Jerryworld for arkansas. But I wish it was a home & home.

Maybe after our contract runs its course. We're getting paid currently

I hope to god that neutral field sites are not going to be a common theme moving forward.
I enjoy going to college campus's. I can go to a pro sports stadium to watch pro's play.

Not to bash on you, but I see this claim posted all the time and I'd love to know when even one recruit said they committed to X university because X university played a game in X stadium against Y university.
Is there any scientific proof of this theory or even some cute anecdotes where players have actually testified that this made a difference in their choice of school?

I actually enjoy it once a season. Has a bowl game feel with the even split crowds

LSU begging for a rival.

agree
I think there is a place for one of these on every team's schedule. Games like Florida/UGA, Texas/OU are very interesting games in part because of the neutral field

I would rather leave that for the bowl game.
UF never gets to see UGA's campus and vice versa. Takes the college part out of it all.

OP.. I'm guessing you don't realize that these are two of the top 10 stadiums in college football?
why would you take games away from those?

exactly. kyle and death valley are both incredible football venues. i'd like for it to be an intense home-and-home rivalry game each year.

The point isn't to get one particular player in one year, it's to build interest in your program for the long term and develop a pipeline of players.

Coach X and Coach Y can tell recruit who lives in Z city that he will have the chance to play in his hometown (in front of family and friends) at least 1 time every year. I don't have scientific proof that it works, but I'm sure it doesn't hurt.

Kind of a vague and non-verifiable reason to take a BIG HOME game away from BOTH college campuses. With the abundance of poor OOC home games currently in vogue....I would have to vote a big NOOOOOOOOOO !

I'm already sick of the arky game being in the death star.
