OP.. I'm guessing you don't realize that these are two of the top 10 stadiums in college football?

why would you take games away from those?

exactly. kyle and death valley are both incredible football venues. i'd like for it to be an intense home-and-home rivalry game each year.
No.

I want that game at Kyle and Death Valley.

Who are they gonna take over? Alabama? LSU? Auburn?

why do they need to take over anyone?

this isn't an argument that LSU or bama or anyone else is going to fall off the face of the earth in football.

this is about A&M's success a decade down the road. no one is hoping for a string of SEC titles. winning the SEC west every several years would be the definition of success for me.

Arkansas is averaging getting outscored in the SECCG 34-11. They've played a Big Six opponent each time. See the pattern here?

they've won or been co-champs of the SEC west 4 times in the past 16 years. they've at least had shots at the championship three of those times.

A&M in the SEC is a whole new dynamic for the school and its recruiting. pretending that the aggies will be in a permanent underclass for eternity is silly.

No, you won't.

arky has had multiple shots to win the SEC.

and i see little reason why A&M's potential five or ten years from now is less than that of the pigs.

didn't say it would happen overnight. i don't see A&M being at all competitive with the big boys in the SEC for at least five, probably closer to ten years.

but there's no doubt in my mind that we can and probably will be down the road if we make the right moves.

A&M is going to have it rough for quite a few years in the SEC, but I think our potential ceiling is higher than an arky or USC. being the sole texas school in the best conference in the nation will be a huge selling point--hopefully one we can capitalize on.

we have the fan support, the facilities (and kyle will be upgraded soon), the money, the talented recruiting base, etc. to eventually become a top-tier program. now we can add the conference to that list. it's really a matter of finally taking advantage of those things; there's no large limiting factor to being a top-tier program other than our total inability to put the pieces together and win some games.
Not all of them.

Lots follow the Texans.

For me personally, Skol Vikings!
I was at the press conference today. The whooping was a bit excessive, but everyone was so ecstatic that it couldn't be helped.

It was a cathartic release after all these months of waiting.
