To me that term has never really applied to the Arkansas fan base. A sidewalk Bama fan sucks because they're probably just bandwagoning and would hop over to AU if they started having more success.
A sidewalk hog fan was most likely born and raised a hog fan, and through some pretty bad times lately.
We're a small population state with no major cities. Historically the university was in a relatively unpopulated region (obviously not true today). If we limited hog fans to alumni, the program wouldn't have the support to be a P5 school, maybe not even FBS.
