TCU ruined their season. LSU ended their delusion.

NO, Tom Herman will already accomplish that.

This is the narrative they want to preserve. These people are operatives with agendas don’t take them seriously.

Lol, at aggy calling any other team a delusion. Your whole program has been a delusion since 1939.

I mean this is a 247 blog. The guy is obviously pushing storylines the tu coaches want to sell and his readers want to hear. Using the “quality loss” strategy is what is most advantageous for tu fans and their program. Kind of ironic given how much they bitched and moaned about the “quality loss” but whatever. It’s nothing any other program as desperate as them wouldn’t do. You can act like such an accusation is akin to me going full Alex Jones, but it’s so benign it’s laughable.

To act like placing LSU below OU in terms of difficulty doesn’t align with a narrative they want to sell is just foolish. You’re a very naive person.

Well the champs put up nearly 50 points by halftime against OU. A team Texas got their asses kicked by.

They probably didn’t want to get a STD.

How would chirping at an opposing fan give you an STD

Not the Texas fan base, too reserved. Philly or NY pro fan base maybe

LSU was still ironing things out.

Even a healthy Texas doesn't stay within 20 points of end of season LSU.

Texas has a bunch of 5 stars in the secondary returning. Other than that they ain't got much. They lost their best receivers but Ehlinger is best at running the ball anyway. As usual the way to stop Texas is to stop Ehlinger's running.

It was the first game that LSU played a spread team. If LSU played the Foghorns right now, the result would be the same as the Oklahoma game. Plus we hadn’t peaked at the time.

#3 For SEC teams who see it every other year is one thing, for teams from other conferences whose away trips are to places like Stillwater and Ames, yeah it’s a shell shock. I’ve seen this movie before my man.

That may be true, but Texas had a road trip @USC in 2017 and @Ohio State in 2005. I'll throw in @Arkansas in 04 as well, as those people hate our guts haha

Death Valley will be an experience that many Texas players and fans haven't seen much of before. But to say they've never experienced anything close to it before is a stretch.

They'll be impressed, but they've also seen other daunting places before.

Wouldn't pushing "quality loss" after any loss be advantageous to any program that just lost a game?

Believe me, whether it's to the likes of LSU or OU, or to TCU or Kansas: nobody in Austin is going "well, at least that was a quality loss" after losing to somebody. Everybody's generally pissed.

I was able to come to grips fairly quickly that the LSU loss simply meant that Texas was not the same caliber of team as the Tigers, but that's different. There were still people bitching the following week about the defensive play call on 3rd & 17, the two goalline calls in the first quarter, etc. Hell, I remember people even had problems with the onside kick alignment.

A Longhorn fan preaching "it's OK because we were at least close" is not something I can recall hearing in the post-Charlie era. MAYBE @USC in 2017, but Texas had taken the lead in the closing minute and most people were pretty disappointed/frustrated that they couldn't close and lost in 2OT
