$2.4 million < $4 million

Are you actually retarded?

If they all had any balls they would, but all it takes is one.

I have to say I was impressed with the Tennessee coach. No other head coach in college football had the balls to do what he did!

I get this is the shitty reality of college sports right now, and Nico won’t be the only one doing this by any stretch. But why would you want this type of mercenary behavior to pay off? I sure as hell would love to see it backfire in his face wherever he ends up.

If Duke pays 4 million for a Tulane qb you can be certain a name school will pay up.

I felt the same about Cam Newton when he got things figured out at Blinn and made his way back to the SEC and then on to the NFL. He messed up, but found a way to make his talents pay off.

I hope the same for Nico. I hope the kid learns his lesson and is able to make the most of his talent. It would be a good redemption story to me.

Schools choose not to recruit 1,000’s of kids every year. You saying every kid that is 5’9” and runs a 5.2 40 yd dash has a collusion case?

Absolutely not. But look at the title of this thread. "Hope the rest of the college world blackballs Nico." It's illegal for there to be an organized, across the board conspiracy not to employ a particular individual or individuals. And people want to do that because he's become a symbol to them of "athletes having too much clout" and they want to punish him and bring him to heel and show him who the boss is.

Tennessee handled this perfectly. They said, "We ain't paying that, have a nice life." Other schools that say, "We ain't paying your price," there's nothing whatsoever wrong with that.

But you act in concert to say, "We're not signing this guy, or anyone else, even if we can meet his price, just to teach him a lesson and show him who's boss," he's going to go to court and win a bunch of money and athletes are going to have even more clout and fans are going to get even more angry.
