There's a coach in Las Vegas with a bright offensive mind that may be able to do a good job.

No he will not. TV ratings, ticket sales, booster funding are all down the boosters are very done. His buyout has been raised so he is done for and is very hated by Gator fans and alumni.

Nobody should hate a guy for not living up to expectations. Hate the clown who hired him

He has not hired an OC though it is very, very easy to see he is terrible at it. He has over 100mill..I am sure he will be fine. Strick is not liked either, see him being booed at the Basketball teams title celebration.

Too bad Mullen doesn't like to recruit or make intelligent hires.

Yea..he can't make it as HC in the SEC for long. He is a good coach where he is. Does not have to worry about recruiting that much. Fits him.

That would make perfect sense if you were firing Richt or Franklin and there's a clear question if you can actually improve the situation. That's not the case here. Not to mention you're doing at the halfway point in the season and not at the very end. Unless you hire a hot assistant or someone not currently coaching, you can't really hire a big name right now any way.

99% chance imo Napier isn't fired until the next loss happens.
I was kinda thinking the same thing but the new recruiting dynamic is being prepared for early NSD. I absolutely do not believe either Kiffin or Freeman is going to leave their team before season end and is eliminated from the playoff especially Kiffin. He is 6-0 and riding his best chance at the brass ring he has ever had as HC.
As for Napier, I looked at the record and schedule and arguably the best he can do is 7-5 and that is generous. So it makes sense to cut the cord now.

You think so? I don't know he seems happy over at Ole Miss. I could be dead wrong though.

If he wins and gets fired, he will be the 2nd coach this decade to be fired following a win against Mississippi State, with the other being Jimbo.

We are not getting Freeman prob has an insane buyout, plus if he is Catholic he is prob happy there.. USF coach is the one I bet gets the job.

So, I don't have insider connections to Alabama, but I do have one very good one in the Tennessee AD.
When Derek Dooley was hired, they knew almost immediately they made a mistake. I'll just fast forward to his final year. In his final year, he and his staff knew they were going to be fired at the end of the year.
Because of that, they spent very little time recruiting, game planning and so forth. Instead they were more worried about finding their next position and looking ahead to that. Basically, nobody gave a shite.
If your staff is a lame duck staff, then you are better off pulling the trigger. Thus far it seems as those Napier still has control, but the more people talk about him being fired and the more Florida loses games, the more you have to fire him. Because the same thing is going to happen. As long as he has the team and real support, they will work towards improving things. But there is a line there.
In many cases you're better off putting in an interim coach with that coach thinking/hoping they have a shot at keeping it. Right now take a look at Petrino as an extremely good example. Even if they don't realistically have a shot, it's still better because they can put that on their resume/experience and all that.
Otherwise, none of them care about what happens to Florida next year anymore than Dooley's staff gave a shite what happened at Tennessee the next year. Some of them might even hope for failure.

USA reported it..I would assume they have heard..though it could be fake news like MSNBC. Biden is very aware I swear!
