quote:I'd say Janoris Jenkins is a better pure cornerback and professional player (will end up being better in the NFL), but Tyrann Mathieu was a better playmaker in the secondary and the superior player in college.
Jenkins is better than TM.
That being said, I'm curious to see what type of role Tyrann Mathieu will have in the NFL.

BTW, didn't LSU just get off probation? When was Auburn last on probation?
I love it. Is it Auburn or Alabama that leads the conference in NCAA action taken against its programs? I think it might be Bama.

quote:I love how defensive LSU fans get when you call them out for being cheaters. It's no secret that Auburn has a history of cheating, but LSU was on probation much more recently, and Auburn hasn't been on probation in quite some time (even after the NCAA investigated everything within the program due to rumors of improper benefits with Cam Newton and grade changing).
I love it.
Like it matters anyway. Everyone cheats, you just have to be good enough to get away with it.

Oh, I was just trying to say I thought you were funny. Then I asked a question. Calm yourself, Betty.

I appreciate it.
To be honest, I kind of just want to argue with someone right now. It's been a while... Let me go scan a couple of threads to see some poor, innocent poster that isn't ready to be bitched at.

How do you define not even close?
Bama has more combined punishments, but less number of offenses(1 less in football, 2 less overall)

10+ failed drug tests get swept under the rug at other schools

I mean, Auburn has 20 percent more major violations

Trey, I like you.. so I won't say anything too negative.
Do I think LSU is wrong for hiding this much? Yes
Do I think LSU was wrong for waiting as long as it did to take action? Possibly
Do I think LSU made the right move by taking action? Yes
Do I think other schools would have taken similar action? Possibly, but there is no telling. Only speculation and accusations to be thrown out. This thread is filled with nothing but that as a defense mechanism of the subject school's fans.. as is any other topic that involves a "scandalous matter."
Opposing fans cannot wait to pounce on opportunities like these because they can show "how much better their school is" by not allowing something like this to happen, when in reality, every school has their flaws. Only some get exposed.

The whole conversation is stupid. First, weed should be decriminalized and we wouldn't even be having the discussion.
Amazingly, high profile Bama players only fail drug tests after leaving the program, a la Dre Kirkpatrick. If you don't think the same shite is being swept under the rug at your own school you should take a long look in the mirror.
Personally, I give zero fricks about a college student smoking pot.

The Honey Badger speaks:
quote:
@LSUBonnette: T. Mathieu disputes story in today's USA Today. Said LSU went to great lengths to help w treatment and recovery.

Well, it's not.
As much as I agree with that statement, the fact is.. it's not. Mathieu's actions were a violation of team policy. The fact that his actions involved an illegal substance doesn't really bother me at all.
