Honestly, no one is a given to get in as a non conference champion....

that includes LSU. We have yet to see the committee take a one loss non conference champion over a one or zero loss Power 5 conference champ.

They aren’t going to listen - might as well give up.

Why haven’t you done that? You’ve been proven time and time again that your takes are wrong concerning football after all

We don’t need to worry about these hypotheticals... we’ll just win out.

What? Yes the committee has. In 2018 they awarded 11-1 Alabama (non-SEC Champion) the 4 seed over a 12-1 Big Ten Champion Ohio State.

I guess the opinion of some random poster on an LSU fan owned site is gospel

In 2018 Alabama was undefeated and SEC champion, in 2017 Ohio State had 2 losses. Not sure what year you’re talking about

Nope. In the 2017 season (2018 playoff) Bama lost to Auburn & Ohio State lost to Purdue. That Purdue loss kept them out and put Bama in at no.4

Well, you must not have read the “Alabama Entitlement” clause in the CFP guidelines. It’s similar to the “Notre Dame Privilege” clause.
The Alabama clause has an expiry codicil for sunsetting on the retirement of Saban.

I guess it's all how you look at it, do you want the four best teams, or do you want the four best conference champions, because they are not the same thing. One will give you the best team in America and the other will give you the best conference champion. All conferences are not created equal, some (the SEC and the B!G care about football, invest a lot of money and have great teams. Others could care less

Ohio State had lost to Oklahoma and Iowa that year. They beat undefeated Wisconsin to win the big 10 but had 2 losses. I don't think they even played Purdue that year.

Like it or not, the first selection criteria will be conference championships. They have said it multiple times. The rest is wishful thinking.

Ok cool. Guess we’ll just have to whip the shite out of Georgia then. Won’t be a problem

That Iowa-OSU game was an arse kicking.

The winner of the Big12 will not be one of the 4 best teams in the country.

It's not really directed at you, but the whole thought that if Bama wins out they are in. I'm not saying it can't happen, but we haven't seen it yet. And that should be a concern for anyone who doesn't win their conference.

May not be, but I'm just pointing out that when they've taken a non champ over a champ, the champ always had a worse record.
