The SEC chant I don’t mind hearing if it’s from a fan base of a team that has won the national title during the Reign of SEC Dominance (2006-present). Those programs have actually contributed. Now if programs such as Georgia, TAMU, Missouri, Arkansas do it; then they’ll be called out for it; because what have they done to contribute?

Can you blame them? They are part of a shitty conference with a bunch of low tier to middling athletic programs. Programs where UH is able to hire away a B12 head coach. Sooners and shorthorns desperately want to talk football with enthusiastic fanbases from other teams. We have that here and more.
Their own situations are pretty bleak from a discussion standpoint with other fans. If there was a legit B12 board there would be the same 8-10 fans from TCU, Kansas, Kansas St, Texas Tech, Baylor etc... on those boards... how boring. Invariably those fans don't really want to talk football anyway.
They are here out of jealousy, desperation, etc... I will say I don't blame them but there is a touch of pathetic to this. They persistently try to talk up the B12 but the fact that they are here says everything.

Honest question for Mizzou fans. Do you even go to home games. You should be as embarrassed as the rest of the SEC about your 50k home attendance.
Iowa State and West Virginia are comparable in fan support with 1/2 and 1/4th populations.
Oh and you still don’t recruit SEC-worthy. OU has a 50/50 chance of taking any St Louis recruit against Mizzou.

Because you see unlike the southern fanbases, we aren't lemmings and have plenty of shite to do. We don't go just to go. You have to give us a reason to. You know, Show Me State and all. Odom hasn't and he has 3 more years to prove otherwise.

Did Charlotte Sooner ever show up on the board after the Orange Bowl? I haven’t been keeping up lately?

Ok thank you buddy. He ran his suck pretty ferociously leading up to the game.

Yes, I have read some of his post since, but I never read any where he eats crow, maybe I just missed it or forgot it, but he is still posting and I believe he is a real OU fan not an alter.

They want attention.
Like most things Big12 it doesn’t compare to the SEC. They don’t have a legit board like this or a few others.

a) steel sharpens steel
b) football in the south was always undervalued so the "us vs them" still lingers
There is a reason the SEC has only a 50 dollar entry fee and no exit fee. A united conference makes a strong conference. Hell the B12 was probably #2 behind the SEC before they let the B1G and PAC rip them apart. That would not happen with the SEC because the top dogs need the bottom ones to make them all stronger. You do not get this and it makes you weaker as a whole.
If you are familiar with Game Theory
SEC = cooperative
B12 = non cooperative
While the Iron Men no longer are active SEC members, the current success was forged early on their shoulder. While Tulane is no longer a member, the Sugar Bowl is their contribution. Just because somebody is not apex today does not mean they did not carry the load at some previous point in history.

That’s the definition of a bandwagon fanbase. When OU had the worst record in their history under the 3 years of John Blake we still averaged 70k (80k capacity) for home games. And that was after 7 years of mediocrity under coaches not named Barry Switzer

We are also a pro state, something you know very little about.

Dipshit, I live in the St Louis area & work in Soulard. Went to several Rams home games. I know VERY well how apathetic fans are here.

Then you're the real dipshit for trolling, since ya know, you already knew.

Whoop tee doo!
Kentucky has been a football cellar dweller since Bear left in the 1950's. Stadium seated 68K officially but averaged about 70K and put 72K in on more than 1 occasion. until joker took the reigns Kentucky was regularly in the Top 25 in attendance every year. South Carolina had a similar story and historically less football success.
That is the difference between the conferences in the nutshell.
