It was outlawed like back in the 60's or something. Longhorn fans were big on cowbells back in the day.

But pissy State gets to keep doing it.

Op, don't worry, they will be outlawed after you lose on Saturday.

Artificial noise makers are illegal in every SEC football stadium except Miss State for some stupid reason.
Whistling isn't artificial and is always legal.

Same with tech and no more tortillas.

I like fun traditions I hope it never gets out of hand where they have to outlaw it

Tech can't throw tortillas anymore? Even if not onto the field?

Where else would you throw them? Onto each other?

Tech used to let the fans throw them up in the air as long as they were kept off the field of play

But with a major expansion since then, it does make a noticeable difference.
How does it make a noticeable difference? Maybe in nonconference games. There are a few that break the rules and if enough do, then we get fined. I quit going to in person games. When were you last at a game in Starkville?

The Texas band used to ring cowbells when we were on defense and the opposing QB dropped back to pass. Hell of an assist to the defense.

Honestly I don't see anything wrong with it; it's home field advantage for a reason.

It’s not as big of a deal or advantage as it’s made out to be.

State’s home SEC record in the last 5 years is 4-13 so it’s hardly been some big boost.

It doesn't have to be right before the snap to make a difference. You're able to ring them while plays are being called it. This goes for every school with loud fans. That makes a difference in how an offense is able to operate.

Bring earplugs

If they are beside you or behind you, you will wish you had them

what?

I was answering a question. Look, no one gives a shite about MSU crowd noise anymore. Your program is complete arse so the cowbells are irrelevant by the 2nd quarter.

Pretty typical that there’d be a half dozen Ole Piss fans in here crying.
