Home Field Advantage (SEC)

There is more to crowd noise than false starts. The biggest benefit is keeping the offense from being able to easily make adjustments at the line.

Our coaching and play has completely nullified any home field advantage we may have.

I tend to think wins and losses are the better indicator of a house of horror for visiting teams....

They are. And they do but it is still quite a limitation. We only had one truly deafening home game last year. Georgia executed nearly flawlessly on offense I don’t think they had any false starts. To this day I’m angry that we ran so much man to man coverage instead of trying to muddy the picture with zone coverage.

Trinidad Chambliss record in true SEC road games -

Georgia - L - 43-35
Oklahoma - W - 34-26
Mississippi State - W - 38-19

Misissippi State was terrible last season. LSU being coached by Frank Wilson won @ Oklahoma last year so that’s not like some unbelievable feat. The Georgia game OM lost.

I would say it OM is able to win @ Florida on Saturday it will be the biggest SEC road win of Trinidad Chambliss career.

That was the adjustment that teams made last season which slowed Gunner down. Some QBs thrive on blitz and man coverages. Others do better identifying coverage and quickly finding the right spot. Stockton is very good. My problem with what we did is the following. 1. It’s harder to stop the run out of man coverage. 2 it’s harder to to contain a mobile QB in man coverage. 3 there’s less ways to confuse a QB in man coverage. 4 it’s easier to give up deep vertical shots or big catch and run opportunities in man coverage . To my memory pretty much all of those things got us last year.
