Bama's HOPING to get us into 3rd and long situations, just like any other football team. If we come out throwing and run more a no-huddle, which Wilson is very comfortable doing, it could cause problems. I don't think we have the personnel to line up and go power-I for a large portion of the game. Or, I should say, those players haven't been playing and Petrino hasn't pulled the strings on the better run plays (still haven't seen a pulling guard this season that i can remember).

Saban is a DB coach. Throwing first is never a great game plan. his DBs are coached well in fundamentals and one dimensional teams will get killed against a Saban coached team.

If Petrino does the pass happy thing your team will lose by 2 scores.

Balance and patience with the run is the answer.

Petrino runs a pro style offense where you often throw short passes in place of a run a la the Patriots. One of the reasons the Pats took Mallet. With Knile's injury we aren't a power running team nearly as much so we'll have to throw more than we run

Shocker. WT in an Arkansas related thread, and absolutely no contribution to it.

I never would have guessed.

Alabama is the better team, and at home.

We shouldn't win. We aren't expected to win. Predictions that we win are based on nothing more than hope.

I hope we win too, but I wouldn't put a G-Damn cent towards it.

I'm really looking forward to this game. I think Bama will win, but I know we can give them a run for their money so I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the show instead of getting all bent out of shape like last year when I expected to win.

Being an underdog with Petrino as coach is much better than how it was with Nutt. Even though we have an uphill battle, I know Petrino will put this team in position to make plays and that our offense has the ability to put up points in bunches.

Can't wait 'til Saturday!

Exactly. There were numerous games under Nutt when you knew there was no chance in hell we were going to win, and if we did somehow pull some BS we would then lose to 3 teams worse than us.

I feel the exact opposite of this under Petrino

He's not doing that. He's just being optimistic. Nothing wrong with that.

You are being too negative. It's college football. No one knows how well these kids are going to play from week to week.

Every team playing has question marks. I am objective enough to know LSU does and so does Bama. Oklahoma does too.

Everybody that's highly ranked, except for Boise, has a few tough games to play.

Each season plays out differently. Injuries and other negative influences can cause a team's performance to drop off. Young kids stepping up and coaches moving guys around can help a team play better as the season goes along.

Most teams are just now getting to the meat on their schedule. How can the young kids on the Hog's roster not be jacked up to play Bama at Bryant Denny?

I guarantee Saban expects Arkansas' A game. He's probably telling his young kids to be ready for it but are they really listening?

I expect a good game. By God, it's the SEC.
