I'll just be lazy and post the same thing I put in the Speaks gif thread.

I think Luke had the Ole Miss HC job locked up until that moment but a good chance he blew it by not running and jumping Speaks' arse when he threw the punch. Luke had the chance to show he was in full control at that moment and backed away and blew it. Then again may not matter to the Ole Miss administration.

I can't believe Ole Miss fans are even suggesting otherwise.

By all means Ole Miss, don't hire the guy that coached his arse off and loves you unconditionally and would be dirt cheap for the next 2-3 years.

By all means, Keep thinking you can do better when there are a minimum of 4 SEC schools with more prestige, more money, and not about to be put on NCAA double secret probation that are also hiring a coach within the next 3 weeks.

By all means, end up with Butch fricking Jones and save us the buyout money.

Please Ole Miss, but all means, don't hire Luke.

Ole miss is going to be on probation for a few years. You save a shitload of money by hiring Luke and are also hiring a guy you know wants the job instead of someone that may come in and leave immediately. I don't know why Ole Miss fans act like it would be lazy. I think it's quite delusional that you believe a real candidate would want the job with the sanctions. You're not Alabama and there are a ton of P5 jobs open this year for teams that won't be on probatio

This you guys are cheaters. You paid all your good players to come there. When did ole miss fan get to be so cocky

Sure was a lazy hire of a guy that won 2 SEC championships, a national title and played for another. I hated him but to even compare what the frick was done last year with the dumb bum we have is borderline retarded.

Classic Ole Miss fans that thinking they deserve better as they think they are so fancy, but have leveraged all they got so now in debt to their eyeballs.

Did you not hear them at the end of the game when Luke was getting interviewed? They were calling him "new coach."

There's going to be a moment like at the end of Rudy where the players walk into the ADs office, and will give the AD no other choice.

With all the job openings in the SEC and pending sanctions it might be a smart move. OM may want to hold on a little while and see what happens and then make a move.

It's not like any real candidate will want the job. You guys cheated your asses off and still only got 2nd in the West. (Mostly because freeze is a terrible game situation coach)
