I wouldn't be surprised if Nepo Baby Manning pops off for 400 yards and 3 TDs. OU has a history lately of making Texas QBs look like heroes.

It could happen. I'm more worried about Venables not managing the game well and being milquetoast and conservative if we get up a bit on Texas. He has a history of doing that and letting teams get back in the game.

I'm sure Texas is terrified of facing Hawkins again.
This kid just struggled to complete 50 something percent of his passes and threw for 160 yards against the worst defense we've seen in a long while. Half his balls went into the dirt and his mechanics were laughable. This kid is a little bit better than Beville... but not by much.
Meanwhile, Manning (LOL He sucks so bad...dur dur...) just threw for almost 300 yards against a really good Florida defense with almost 10 yards a completion.
Manning may struggle a little against us but all he's got to do is get 6 points and they'll win. Hawkins is so bad we won 't score a TD again this year.
I don't understand why Sooner fans can't see this. Today's game was alarmingly bad for the offensive side of the ball.

Not that embarrassing. We were 6-7 last season and sucked arse. We're playing good if we win we win, if we lose, I won't be butthurt about it.
I've lived through the 80's with OU, the awful '90's, 2000's, 2010's and now the Venables era which is a struggle.
All I've said is "See ya next week..." I didn't make the claim we would win in that comment. If we win, we win. If we don't then we don't. I won't have a meltdown and kill myself over losing a game, even to UTerus. Calm your tits.

The 2013 and 2015 games are examples of this.
The only really crappy OU team I've ever seen beat a good Texas team was in 1996 when Jesus helped John Blake's 0-4 team beat the Texas team that would go on and win the Big XII
Unfortunately for Coach Blake... Jesus decided he was for Texas the next two years of his three year tenure.

The Florida loss is the worst thing to happen to OU. Don’t get me wrong watching Texas lose is always fricking awesome. But it wasn’t that long ago Case McCoy….. Case. McCoy. Played like fricking peak Tom Brady for a game because it’s OU-tx…
