I think he was just referencing how superior Texas is in athletics. Not the actual age of the institutions.

After the snowstorm? Yea that was the first game of the season. I think it’s fair to assume teams can get better, just like formerly 1-8 in the ACC NC State just beat the SEC champion on their home turf two games in a row.
Should be a fun week and a fun tournament. Could see it going any direction

I would say that Texas has played an easy schedule to Omaha (you play the cards dealt, so that isn't their fault), and nobody knows what they can or cannot do.
MSU is a known quantity. And they beat them earlier this year as well
