All of a sudden the Dawgs secondary looks intriguing.

No clue. Never saw the field. He's supposedly pretty athletic, but he got passed by other young guys at slot corner and nickel (Malachi Moore, Brian Branch, etc) and the freshman corner McKinstry in all likelihood passed him.

If he’s a 5 star he’ll probably ride the bench behind the other 5 stars

If he was good enough to play Championship caliber football he would've stayed.

Why would he go from one stacked secondary to another?

Good athlete. Couldn’t get on the field.

Because our secondary isn’t stacked.

He will be the backup at SS behind Lewis Cine from day 1 and Cine has a tendency to either hurt himself or others and exit games early as a result

Probably a good pickup. I'd guess Georgia recruited him and knows everything about him. I don't remember hearing anything bad about him, just not much at all.

We are pretty deep in the secondary at this point at CB and both safeties, both with upper classmen and young kids.

It’s our thinnest position group by far

Be careful if he left, he must have a medical issue. They only leave Bama due to medical reasons (wink wink). So they can replace them and not count against the 25 limit ( wink wink).

Couldn’t break the depth here but he’s probably got the talent to play somewhere in the SEC. Smart wouldn’t offer a stiff.

We are incredibly thin at DB due to transfers (Burns, Stevenson, Wilson) and draft (Lecounte, Stokes, Campbell, Daniel). Our starting safeties are solid (Cine and Smith) but only freshmen and career backups behind them. Our Corners right now are 2 highly rated RFr (Kimber and Ringo) and a super senior (Speed). Tykee Smith is coming from WVU to play our star position. We will likely add at least 1 more true corner via the portal and hope for the best from there

So you say. But I think Georgia has the best Composit talent in the Country. IMO.

Talented kid but couldn’t break the 2-deep at Bama. Sort of surprised UGA took him. Tells me Smart has had some misses in the secondary in recent classes.

Was passed by freshman last year and got passed by another freshman in spring practice.

Complete unknown, couldn't crack the starting lineup at Bama.

Kirby has a good track record for coaching up DBs. He put 4 in the NFL this year. He might be able to unleash Turnage's potential.
