Tennessee fans said it was a fact that Tennessee would score 50 on our defense. I'm not sure a Tennessee fan would know a fact if it bit him on the behind.

Nice try, though.

No he isn't. Heupel inherited a 3 win team that lost 31+ players to transfer and was ranked in the 120s on offense and on defense.
In other words he didn't lose much?

This supports Heupel being a better coach but worse recruiter.
And yet you missed his point completely. A UT fan was saying in 2-3 years UT would have as much talent as UGA. The poster was pointing out that no, you would not.
So tell us, if UT does not close the talent gap, will really good teams continue to pummel you unmercifully? Because Huepel obviously wasn't a "better coach" than Kirby Smart last Saturday, but go ahead and spin it all you like.

Or the fact that Bobby Hill took UCF backwards in his actual coaching debut.

What's LSU 's overall talent composite ranking this year?
how many are underclassmen and guys Kelly signed from the portal? You know those count the same as a 5th year senior who's been with the program all along right? LSU had fewer than 40 scholarship players when Kelly was hired.
Y'all sure do love looking at those talent composites though and think they're the gospel while ignoring your entire 2 deep are upperclassmen with years of starting experience
Not to mention guys like Justin Jefferson were 3 star players. You want to argue that he was less talented than any 5 star player his last year in college because a raw composite score from high school said he was? Really weird how y'all try to devalue how good your players are. Seems insulting to those guys.

Well the Dawgs are in the top 2/3 annually since Kirby in recruiting, along with Bama and OSU- and wow you wouldn’t believe how coincidental it is to see those 3 teams in the top 3 every year. :wow:

Heupel runs a gimmick offense which, up until now, no one had figured out how to stop. Kirby and Muschamp just gave everyone else the blueprint.

Texas A&M and Texas are both in the top 6. Point being, talent composites do not account for the age of the players nor do they account for where the talent is concentrated. A team could have a ton of highly rated skill players and average talent everywhere else yet still find themselves with a good composite score. Likewise, a team, like A&M for instance, could sign a freshman class with 8 5 star players yet not have comparable upper classmen talent (8 of their 10 5 stars are freshman and another is a sophomore)
UGA and Alabama sign top 3 classes every single year. They have very few good players transfer out of the program. They haven't had to go through a coaching change in the relevant time period. They are the exception, not the rule. Look at the top 25 rankings and then look at the top 25 talent composite. Looks a lot different.
Hell, Auburn, South Carolina, and Miami are all in the top 20, and Stanford is in the top 25. You cant say with a straight face that they have top 20 talent right now. The 247 talent composite is fun to look at, just like PFF ratings are. But how much stock people put in those on this site is just funny to me.
I can name several LSU players that don't even play that were highly rated recruits. LSU has a walk-on starting at running back ffs

if it was so talented why did htey lose 5 games in 2016, including to vanderbilt? Only beat nichols state by 2?
Georgia had talent under Richt. The players Kirby has recruited are different. Richt didn't have enough big, physical asskickers. Kirby has focused on the line of scrimmage. He's recruited players that will outmuscle the other team. Look at what happened Saturday. It was like Donkey Kong vs Princess Peach.

Tenners world championship 8 game win streak features no wins over teams with less than 2 losses additionally, those 8 opponents combined total for more than 30 losses during the ‘streak’

Kirby finished 8-5 his first year at UGA then went on to win 11 games his second year despite losing to Auburn 28-7 which was almost identical to how we lost to UGA last weekend minus our late score which admittedly didn't mean much.
Heupel went 7-6 last year and is on pace for 11 wins this year despite inheriting a wayyyyy worse situation than Kirby.

quote:Not true. The mid-state area is the best area for talent now and everyone has recruited better than Tennessee there the last few years. Tennessee needs to lock down that area and Memphis, go into the Carolinas and Virginia and get the top recruits from there, and steal a couple from Georgia/Alabama/Florida. On top of that, continue to get a few from California that we always seem to do. That’s basically what we did when we did have top 5 classes. It can be done as long as Clemson starts shitting the bed.
Bammer is closer to Memphis (Tennessee's best area for HS football talent)

Kelly’s first year is much better than Saban’s first year at Bama. Well hell looks like we’re set for the next two decades folks.

UGA's defense is definitely playing at an elite level right now. And Kirby had a much easier schedule after Oregon and has been game planning for us for weeks now.
But also, our offense had a letdown game in general. Teams do have bad games just like Georgia had one against Mizzou. A lit of that had to do with UGA's dline and blitz packages though too.

The team we played right before you is one of the “tough” teams on your schedule, one of the “ranked wins” you all told us about..
