Bama has shown it can pay top dollar to retain the best coaches in the history of college football. What about Auburn?

They don’t have Texas or A&M money. Nobody does. Not in the NIL era when you have to spend a lot on players. Texas can outspend everyone if they want to.

It wouldn't matter to me. Alabama wasn't a championship quality team either way.

That's my stance.

Has not won a playoff game since 2016. The fans are getting restless. However, the Rooney’s seem to not be concerned.

Had no idea that Freeman is a tOSU alum. Lost to LSU in the national championship game. Wish O could have hired him as DC back in the day. What an impact he could have made on our program.

Why didn’t Texas triple Sabans salary and hire him away from Bama then?

According to Notre Dame fans that they were very happy to see BK leave. That didn't look like Notre Dame wanted to keep BK. BK tried to get Freeman to join him at LSU as the DC.

Sooooo much revisionist history going on. Notre dame and all of the college football media had a major melt down when Kelly was announced as LSU’s Coach.

When Notre Dame lost 4 games in Freeman’s first year there was a lot of hand wringing going on in South Bend.

Last year is when the tide changed for Notre Dame fans. That’s when they went all in on Freeman.

BK couldn't hire him to LSU. That got to sting!

Why??? That’s a really stupid take.

He was announced as Kelly’s successor at Notre Dame. Why would that bother anyone that his DC wouldn’t follow him to take the head Coach job. Lol

BK tried to convince him to come to LSU as DC. That was the truth. Then BK flopped with House. BK wanted both OC and DC to LSU. Only could get the OC. Now the OC is back at Notre Dame and guess what? Notre Dame is in the championship game.

You are dense as a rock.

Freeman was, by far, and no one else was close, the favorite to replace Kelly as head coach of Notre Dame.

Why would a DC entertain leaving his position at ND when he’s the front runner to become the head coach????

It doesn't matter how much money you have, it matters how much you spend and where you spend it.

By your claim, there is no way Alabama could have hired and kept Saban for 16 years.

It was all over the news that Kelly tried to hire him to LSU. Freeman turned it down!

Yup. It is an awesome experience. Have enjoyed it three times. How did you feel when Missouri made the championship game?

Keep doubling down on stupidity. You wear it well.

Again…. Freeman was named the interim head coach for Notre Dame’s bowl game. He was the leading candidate, and the person most likely to succeed Kelly as Head Coach.

Of course, you stupid frick, he isn’t going to LSU as DC!!!!
