The knee was down with zero movement of the ball prior to being touched.

You are not trying to insinuate that the referees would give Bammer one, are you?

I mean, just because they've done it for the past 10 years doesn't mean they did it last night.

Sure. Now define what a fumble recovery is? At what point is a recovery a recovery? What does a player have to do to have possession of the ball? His knee is down, the ball is in both hands and is not moving. That is possession, the player possessed the ball prior to the out of bounds player touching it. Therefore LSU ball.

Given the amount the other players moved from the first to last frame, it looks like the LSU player never had possession. By the last frame the ball was coming out and the bama player hadn't even fallen an inch.

Alot of people. bullshite calls ruin the game for everyone. The less bullshite interference the referees make the better the game will be.

It’s not your fault obviously, but it’s a total disgrace that in 2022 we have such (relatively) low-resolution footage. 8K is out there and these games literally rake in millions per. WTF are we doing? An average cell phone released this year could have taken better video.

What the F is replay for, I could tell it was recovered, I could tell it touched his finger, I can’t remember the others but the Replay officials wtf are they looking at, surely not the 5 inch Sony watchman ? I mean how many replays were there and how long did they take ?

Leave it to the NCAA that has rules that a player out of bounds has to reestablish himself in bounds before he can become eligible again to touch the ball...but this bs here the player is out of bounds but he can touch it to kill the play...

The rule needs to be fixed...

It's a stupid rule, but LSU did not "possess" the fumble (despite having to hands on it) before the Bama player touched it. As the rule is written, the ref call was correct.

If that’s true the Mond play was a horsefricking against lsu, even though everyone at the time said it was also the right call. So which is it?

Because A&M as a team initially possessed the ball and not LSU.

What?

That doesn’t matter one bit on what constitutes possession

Edit: On further reflection, not a good comparison to the Mond situation.
