I can't imagine any scenario where the Big Ten doesn't take Colorado within the next week or so. They badly need them to bridge that gap between East and West, and it is a perfect fit culturally, academically, tv market, etc.

I don't think you're going to get Duke and UNC to ever leave the ACC, unless the ACC blows up. The SEC should add Kansas, Arizona, Arizona State and West Virginia IMO.
That gives you a blue blood basketball program, another really good program on the level of Arky, a solid hoops and football program in West Virginia and hot bitches with Arizona State.

Just saw it's official. USC and UCLA are going to join the Big Ten. With this move will Pac 12 and Big 12 survive? Or is it going to be 2 massive conferences?

better fit with the SEC than with the BIG. I'd be happy with them, VT, Clemson, FSU if we need to expand. think UNC or State will be too hard to pry away from their Tobacco Road rivals

I’d rather Colorado State over Colorado. The SEC schools would drink Fort Collins dry. Boulder is a super liberal town. Neither of those will happen though.

We have nothing in common culturally with any states west of Texas and Oklahoma

AZ, NM, NC, and VA are in play for historic culturally unifying bonds.

The ACC grant of rights buy out is a little over 300 million per school today...26 million for every year left on the contract through 2036.

Personally, I think they and UTk are so culturally close that it could be an awesome rivalry filled with burned couches, mattresses and thrown bottles of condiments.

Thank you for saying this! It's sad that WV isn't the market most want, but their fanbase is extremely well aligned with the culture of the SEC. They would be a welcome addition IMO.

If there really is no way to opt out, they relegated themselves to Conference USA status while 2 super conferences are formed.

Why wouldn't the Big Ten want an AZ school and Colorado to help bridge the geographic gap to SoCal? Huge tv markets in rapidly growing states. AZ St in particular has loads of potential.
