do not understand why Arkansas didnt really go after him. I mean fricking Bielema over Gus?
Gus was EXTREMELY polarizing while in Arkansas. He has/had very close ties to the new money NWA folks and the megachurch that they all flock to.
He is a great coach, but I am glad we did not go that route.

Gus Malzahn is simply running Paul Johnson's offense from the spread at a breakneck pace. It's not really innovative, it's just fast. That's it's advantage.
I completely agree with this!!!
The spread is nothing more than the triple option and the west coast style offenses thrown into a pot, stirred together, and voila! Out comes the HUNH offense we see so many teams running today.
It's NOT innovative at all! And the genius defensive mind that ever figures out how to shut it down will be a legend forever!

May I ask why you feel that way Pig?

Never mind the way the arguments presented and the insinuations and the way the stats are presented. frick all that.
So once again you are self righteous a-hole.
frick off.
So yeah, you "occasionally" say one thing but everything else you say and the way it is presented says something else.
So yeah.

i don't think there's anything about gus that isn't fake and contrived- from the way he speaks, to the 'nerd' persona he projects, to the innocent little angel act. i think he's the perfect model for the idiom 'wolf in sheep's clothing'.
i hated the time he was with the hogs, imo that was the worst time to be a hog fan and as you know we've been thru the motorcycle wreck, jls and now this losing streak since then. i never liked the way he used his high school students to get his foot in the door and then dumped them like a bag of hot potatoes soon thereafter. he never had to take one iota of responsibility for anything during his time here.

Things that come to my attention about Auburn under Malzone,
1. Editing game film against Arkansas last year to take out certain play or plays..
2. Ineligible receivers down field on tying TD against Bama. Wasn't called
I see a pattern.
3. FSU accuses Auburn of stealing their offensive signs( Granted not illegal but unethical)
4. Kansas ST. accuses Auburn of stealing their offensive signs.
5. Last play against S. C. Auburn had 2 players with the same number on the field at the same time. Wasn't called.
6. Ole Miss 12 players on the field on offense? No call.
7. Georgia game last year. The Miracle TD pass, if you look Auburn's LT is holding Ga's player( arm around neck) in front of official! No call.

Tell ya what then, do simple arithmetic that takes less than a split second for those of us who aren't dumbasses.
First play of the drive count the damn players before you allow the snap. 11? OK.
The next play, count the players that go off the field. None? OK they still have 11.
The next play count'em again. 2 went off? 3 came on? BOOM. 12 frickING PLAYERS ON THE FIELD.
This isn't graduate level math-a-fricking-matics we're talking about here
but we are talking about sec refs.
also who is that in your picture. I want to hang out with them....

Going into your 3rd SEC championship game ever ranked #8 in the country must have been awful.
You're just an all around terrible poster.

Nice way to gloss over that and immediately lead with the much more mature "retard" name calling.

oh golly, you poor baby.
i truly hated the time when gus was here, it wasn't the record obviously. i wouldn't want him to be our coach if he was the last surviving coach on earth.

If the offense can condition themselves to run that fast, so can the refs and defenses.
Posted on 11/7/14 at 10:38 am to joeyb147
well...you whined about me calling you a retard????
btw- that wasn't a temper tantrum, it's how i feel you and yours.
