Hendon Hooker declined the draft because he is on a mission

SEC on watch
Good read.
In his first year at Tennessee under Heupel, Hooker was learning on the fly yet amassed 2,900 plus passing yards, 600 plus rushing yards with 31 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions.
His FIRST year. These are heisman like numbers. Imagine what he is going to do in year two now that he has had an entire off season to master Heupel's system.
Here is a passage from the article for those of you who are too lazy to click links:
“Hooker has completely rededicated himself,” said Halzle on Wednesday after UT’s practice. “He’s up there in our office all the time wanting to talk protections, wanting to talk defenses. He is up there learning from somebody the entire day.”
Halzle also said that Hooker has made a “big jump” this offseason with his understanding of opposing defenses.
“He’s grown to the next step of seeing the second and third reads,” explained Halzle. “He’s made a big jump this offseason in terms of defensive understanding, and you can tell a difference on the field.”

There are team boards for a reason. Literally no one gives a shite

I'm a diehard Tennessee fan. You all are all terrified of an elite Tennessee football team again. It's obvious.

I second HOG92. There are team boards to discuss things on a daily basis that are not really news and concern only your team. The Vol board needs some activity. It has been 5 days since anyone posted there.

You are the worst poster on here. SEC east teams definitely give a shite or should. Their team's defensive coordinators definitely will give a shite.

Tennessee is going to make a huge statement against UF this year. No one else will really care though when we blow you out by 4 plus TDs because you are such a dumpster fire now.
But when we roll into death valley and beat the brakes off LSU and are undefeated, people will take note.

Arkansas fans are by far the worst fans on here. Effin basketball school figs.

So everyone will get scared when Tennessee beats 2 teams that went 6-7 last season

Or because he stood no chance of being drafted.

I thought Hooker had a great year. His OL and WR were pretty bad and he was still out there making plays.
With UGA having a huge rebuild in the secondary in front of them, UT could make it interesting despite still being in a rebuild after the great portal exodus a few years back.

He’s on a mission to win 7 games again?
He didn’t want to be drafted on the 3rd day of the draft and be on a practice squad this year?
