Why are so many of our fellow posters upset that LSU fans are excited about how their team played?

What is the purpose behind the vitriol?

I’m proud of how LSU played and excited about the season. Don’t shoot me.

I don’t think anyone is upset. I think it’s fair to question the quality of the opponent LSU beat.

7-6 last year and 8th in their conference was Clemson. Dabo is a sinking ship. That’s not trying to take away from LSU - it’s just telling LSU fans wait a few weeks before you claim this team is that damn good.

What does have to do with my being excited over how the team played?

Calling other fans “upset” is indicative of the issue.

Just as soon as someone fails to post that LSU is the greatest ever or fails to heap praise on Kiffin, the response is that the person is either scared or melting.

Horse shite

If UGA or OM or Bama had dominated Clemson in that manner, those fan bases would be reacting the same way.

Sorry for being excited for our team after going 7-6 last year.

Yet not fair to compare the LSU team to what we saw the last few years?

Clemson is ranked 16 in 247’s team talent composite.

Ole Miss is 14.
USCe is 15
Clemson
OU is 17
Missouri is 18
Auburn is 19

Clemson needs a QB, but to act like they’re Southwest Texas Christian Tech like 13 SEC teams chose to play this weekend is disingenuous.

Clemson would have been at least TD favorites, if not more, over most of the scrubs the SEC chose to play this weekend.

Side note: props to the 3 SEC programs who chose to play non-rent a win teams this weekend.

Two things can be true.

Clemson isn’t a good football team.

LSU executed at a high level and beat the brakes off a mid team, like an elite team should.

Because Lane is a bad man and distractions were supposed to make LSU lose. Then 51-10 happened and it crushed their dreams and hopes.

What were they ranked last year when they went 7-6?

Clemson has underachieved for years. They’ve lost their opener five of the last six years. To act like this version of Clemson is comparable to them when they were good is a joke.

LSU fans take that as an insult when they shouldn’t. People saying pump the brakes aren’t trying to insult LSU.

I think LSU looked great. I do question Leavitt's ability to pass. Of course, as an Ole Miss fan this kind of question can only be seen as a meltdown or jilted ex vibes. I was glad to see Dabo lose. frick that guy.

And LSU hasn't? Yet we cannot be excited by the signs of life we saw?

And you make it your business to come into an LSU website and talk shite. Expect to get pushback
