I get that most here don't do a lot of historical reading, but LSU is one of the programs widely credited for pioneering night college football games. It's a whole thing.
I have a friend who is about 70 years old now. He grew up in a small town in western Oklahoma and went to OU.
I was talking to him once and he said he had two favorite teams...OU and LSU.
I asked him why he liked LSU and he told me that he grew up listening to the OU game on the radio during the day... and at night he would listen to the LSU games because he could get that New Orleans station clear out in western Oklahoma. Since there wasn't much to do in his tiny town... and there were never prime time games on TV. Listening to the LSU game was just what he did on Saturday nights in the fall.

Except they haven't.
Sure, sure, every SEC team has been playing games at night for 50 years.
And LSU has been stuck with day games for over 30.
Its ancient history for LSU, no more traditional than any other SEC playing night games
But yall think its different for some reason

This game should be a night game.
LSU should not expect it though...
Sounds entitled.
Roll f'ing Tide.

They like to celebrate the discovery of electricity in Louisiana in 1931 as often as possible in Red Stick.

By Karenbama:
LSU
• Home Night Games (Post-6:00 PM): 459 Games (338–108–13 record)
• Home Day Games (Pre-6:00 PM): 141 Games (93–43–5 record)
Bama
• The Night Game Drought (1975–1991): Remarkably, due to a mix of Coach Bear Bryant's preferences and stadium lighting choices, Alabama went 16 consecutive seasons without playing a single home night game between 1975 and 1991.
• The Traditional 2:30 PM Window: As a perennial national championship contender, Alabama's highest-profile home games (such as the Iron Bowl against Auburn or matchups against teams like Tennessee and LSU) are routinely selected by major networks (formerly CBS, now ABC/ESPN) for the coveted 2:30 PM CT afternoon national broadcast window.
• Modern Era Context: While night games at Bryant-Denny Stadium have become more common in the 2000s to maximize the home-field advantage—even setting school records for hosting three night games in a single season during the 2003 stretch—they still remain the minority compared to early morning and afternoon kickoffs.

Isn't that an old racist term for Black men?

Here’s a long but interesting article on how LSU night football started.

Can you imagine reporting a post on secRant? Isn't the point of this to be a cesspool? I look through some of my old posts on secRant sometimes and consider reporting myself.

You know the criers are reporting.
