As much shite as they talk, you would think they are a playoff staple that dominated their conference with expectations to do the same in the SEC. But to quote an old ICE T spiritual, “shite ain’t like that”. They were a top 5ish program in a scrub conference that hasn’t sniffed a playoff game or a conference title in a while. Could barely complete in the big 12 but expect to do something in the SEC.

Having Texas in the conference is like seeing that kid who peeked in high school at the 20 year reunion: trying to remind you of how great he was back in the day and constantly begging for attention and affirmation. But we all know that he's been through two really messy divorces and all of his neighbors think he's an enormous dick. And despite that massive head start he had in life, he's accomplished pretty much nothing.

Texas hasn't peaked. Thinking so is cognitive dissonance.
Texas is the richest, biggest, and has the most resources in recruits and is now a power couple with the SEC.
Anyone who doesn't foresee what will be happening in the coming years is simply coping.

Texas' record for the past decade (in the worst P5 conference by an enormous margin): 73-53
Mizzou's record for the past decade (9/10 years in the SEC): 71-54
