Hell of a 4 week run Tigers. Went from first 4 out

To a deciding game loss in extra innings on a bad error. Had fun watching LSU battle for the last few weeks. Never out of any game.

I was disappointed they didn’t win. They were definitely putting together a Cinderella story finish would’ve been awesome to see them get to Omaha.

Yep, climbed all the way to being the second to last team eliminated in the first round. We’re all fricked if Skenes finds some extra eligibility.

They had UNC seeded correctly. That is a top 4 team easily. We got put into a tough regional and ran out of juice.

Very impressive run. This board was ready to bury that squad and the lsu team didn’t give up and kept working. They could have rolled over, but showed a lot of heart and made it a fun end of season for their fans.

Agreed. Gutsy run from the Tigers. They have been fun to watch (minus that series against the Ags)!
I think we can all collectively agree that nobody wanted to run into them in the postseason.
Tough night but I’ll guarantee you they’ll be back next year.

Impressed that Jay was able to turn it around, just not quite enough. Still not sold on him long-term for LSU but definitely gained some fans back.
See how they recruit for next year. I definitely wanted to see them in Omaha.

If UNC didn’t have Madison Bumgarner pitching those last innings, LSU is headed to a Super. Phenomenal effort from that guy.
LSU showed that pedigree matters. Winning programs have pride & LSU just willed themselves to play a higher level of baseball. Beyond impressive

Agree 100%. Playoffs are better with teams and fan bases like LSU in it. Just a different level.
Bats let the Tigers down last night. Really wasn’t the pitching. A bit of a surprise for me. That dropped ball in RF…. Yikes. LSU advanced if that ball caught. Tough way to end the season.

Yes - this would have been one of those seasons to remember thru the ages
but just was not to be.

Bats weren’t too bad. UNC had to make some ridiculously good plays in the field to keep you off the base paths.
