You aren't wrong.
If the defense is as stout as it has been, I doubt Tua will be allowed to toss it around like a big 12 QB every game.
The pieces are there to do it, though.

quote:Good post. The primary difference between the 2 is that AU has actually won one recently and UGA has been much better in the in-between seasons. Don't know which way is better. UGA has to constantly hear the unfair barbs about not being able to win it all and AU has to endure some mediocre seasons with the occasional wretched year thrown in.
Auburn was undefeated in 1993 and 2004, and played for the NC in 2013 as well. Gene Chizik won the NC in his 2nd year at Auburn, Kirby lost. Your time may be coming but Auburn has been there every bit as much as UGA.

Wins and exposure have a lot to do with it, and Bama will surely have both.

To be honest, I don't think that's within the realm of possibility.
It sounded like you were about to say "out of" instead of "within"

It all boils down to what is more important to you. A lot of teams have good seasons. It takes a LOT of things going right to win the NC. I know which side I fall on, and I suspect most Auburn fans feel the same.

Does he though? I'm not convinced he's the best QB on his own team..

I will throw D'andre Swift's name in the mix. Being an Auburn fan, you may have heard of him.
He will have an awesome prime time highlight reel, wont have to battle for carries with michel and chubb and will be the premier back on a 10 win team in the SEC. Zamir's injury only improves his chances.
I loadeded up on him at 40/1. Odds are down to 18/1 now.

The Heisman is stat driven. I do not see Tua or any other Alabama player winning it. 4 or 5 games during the season the starters will most likely be gone by halftime. 2 or 3 games they will be gone by the 4th quarter.
Trace McSorley, Johnathon Taylor running behind that Wisconsin O-line, and Bryce Love are the favorites IMO.
