I wouldn't bet against this, media love his story and of course notre same is finally good, so their peni are all collectively engourging.

PS : McCarron was making some pro like throws last night to the sideline. Got to give him his props, having a great season.

You underestimate the media. If ND finishes undefeated....they WILL play for the national title...no question, they will jump everyone and get at least a #2 spot.

If Te'o finishes strong and is predicted to be a top 3 Heisman...my money is on him winning it. He isn't having a season good enough to win it, but he plays at ND

As they should...they will have beaten at least 8, and likely 9 bowl opponents.

Why shouldn't they be there?

I really hope that ND plays in the Natty this year....and Alabama faces them. We hate those frickin prima donnas. I want Saban to hang about 35-45 on them to totally put their lights out.

McCarron is solid and should be invited, but Teo and Klein are both the reasons their team is undefeated. Both of them are the "Put your team on your back" type of guys. While McCarron is definitely solid, Alabama doesn't need him like ND needs Teo or KState needs Klein. Not to mention Braxton Miller putting up video game stats. Personally I think McCarron finishes 3rd at best unless ND or KState take a loss, which I don't think either will after USC's performance.

Switch Te'o with Jarvis

Actually, keep Te'o and switch McCarron with Jarvis.

there are several linebackers across the country playing just as well if not better than te'o, but they don't play for ND. It's fricking comical that dude is getting heisman pub. He got an interception last night and musberger claimed it could be his "heisman moment"

Give me a break

McCarron ranks 5th in the nation for yards per attempt.

Looking at total yards is half the truth...Bama doesn't need a QB throwing for 300 yards a game and McCarron has found himself on the sideline pretty much every game this year because Bama has been blowing everyone out (closest game was Olemiss...who lost by 3 scores).

McCarron has been on an incredible roll this year. But just look back to the last time he was intercepted til now (MsSt last season):

177/253 70%
2292 yds.
22 TDs
0 INTs

I'm sure AJ as will all other Bama fans trade a Heisman for another Natty. Let the losers worry about who gets the Heisman.

Any other decent qb with good coaching could perform just as well as him.

Then why did JP Wilson and McElroy not have 195 passer ratings and run an offense that is destroying everyone? They had elite stars like Julio Jones, Trent Richardson, etc that AJ does not have.

He's good, competent qb, but there is NO WAY he is the BEST PLAY IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL.

Since when has the Heisman been an award for the best player in the country? Put down the idealism goggles. It typically goes to the best offensive skill player on the best team in the country.

AJ is not an elite talent but he has played as close to perfect as any QB possibly can.

No knock on Griffin last year but Te'o hasn't had nearly the year the Honey Badger had last year and LSU was dominant except vs Bama.

Te'o highlights don't scratch the surface of TM7's 2011 season.

Can't compare against players from other seasons though. Hell in the long line of MLB/ILB...Te'o couldn't hold many of their jocks as far as highlight reels and stats. But he is against a field of pretty average Heisman candidates (as far as Heisman candidates go at least).
