Everyone, he carries the weight of that team. I take it you haven't watched K-State play this year?

You obviously don't get it.

The knock on McCarron was he hasn't played against a legit defense yet. But then, you'll let it slide the fact that Klein plays in the Big 12 against complete CRAP defenses EVERY weekend.

Doesn't matter Klein makes K-State who they are and without him they wouldn't stand a chance, McCarron while good does not make Bama who they are and Bama wouldn't be fricked without him (although there would be a drop off.)

Exactly. The Big 12 is overrated this year. However, look at Oklahoma and Kansas State's scoring defense prior to this weekend, and it's great. Kansas State's passing yards/per game is ranked poorly. Whenever I hear Klein's name or see highlights, it's always him making a big run, usually for a touchdown. I'd like to see him against defenses that are great at containing running QBS and stuffing the run.

No hate. AJ has to play against some decent Defenses before I start calling him one of the best at his position much less the best college football player in the nation.

Team rankings in total defense before this week's games:

Michigan #10

Western KY #19

MSU #25

Ole Miss #40

Mizzou #41

LSU is #3.

It's time to put down the hate on McCarron. He is seriously a Heisman candidate. He will be in NY.

Agree, as much as I hate to say it, McCarron is the most consistent QB in the SEC.

The point made was after tonight...and after tonight considering the season thus far I think the list is right on.

Things can and will obviously change - just ask Geno Smith.

Now, compare this with who Klein has played. I am willing to bet Bama's opponents rank waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay higher

Without McCarron, we have no QB.

You've seen our backup Ely? He is absolute garbage. The other backup, Sims? He has one play....read option.

The fact that his backup isn't good does not win him a Heisman. Any other decent qb with good coaching could perform just as well as him. He's good, competent qb, but there is NO WAY he is the BEST PLAY IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL. It's simply not true. Bama is still undefeated this year without AJ.

Sorry, but actual Heisman voters have been polled and they have McCarron in their top 5. Once your vote counts...you will have a say in this

So what? There is a long time to play. I seriously cannot believe that you jerking it so hard about Alabama that you will sit there an act like AJ McCarron is the best player in the NCAA. You know why he is in the top 5? Because his QB on the number 1 undefeated team. I don't understand how you can act like he is an impact player along the lines of Luck, RGIII, or Cam Newton. Seriously man, step back and look at is: He is a damn good qb, but not anywhere near those three. The Heisman hopeful ranks must be pretty thin if hes near the top. Not to mention that he is totally one dimensional.

McCarron is most likely going to NY but he is not winning the Heisman, forget about it.

Jesus Christ, are you really that fricking dense? Or are you just trying to sound like it? They all won the Heisman trophy, and they were all FAR more integral to the success of their teams. Without any of those players, their teams would have not been very good in their Heisman season. You cannot say the same about AJ.

Who did Baylor beat last year?
They got blown out by a 6-6 A&M team. And that pussy griffin took home the hardware...

So basically, in order to win the Heisman...you have to surround yourself with a crappy team to make yourself look more important to your team's success.

Players on very good teams are delusional to think they can be mentioned in the top 5 of Heisman candidates.

I don't have a list, but i'd have to say that Klein would be at the top of it if I did.
