Is their better qb on the same page as bennet was?

They are totally different. Bennett, when forced, could pull the ball down and run. Beck can run, but will not be the run threat Bennett was. He will be a bit better passer, though....probably. I like Beck and think he will do well, but nobody really knows at this point.

New QB means you better have a great OL.

How is UGA's OL this year? If it's among the best in the nation, then yeah, maybe it's already over.

Hate to say it, but I think he’s probably correct. I don’t see anyone with UGA’s talent, including Bama or tOSU, and UGA’s schedule is a cake walk this year.

The schedule is very easy this year. OSU and Alabama could beat us, though. They shouldn't, but they can. Staying focused and not getting complacent might be a chore.

Should be very, very good. Probably 4 juniors and seniors and maybe one RSFreshman. Most have been in the syste for awhile with a lot of playing time. Veteran returning center (VanPran)

We played 3 tackles last season. We return the 3rd stringer (1%er 5 star) who will hold the RT spot.

So we are replacing our left tackle with a high 4 star top 50 type recruit.

We are stocked and loaded on the interior led by 3rd year starter at C, Sedric Van Pran.

Better QB than last year
Best receivers in the country
Best defense
Best running backs in the nation

he said "they have the best of everything. they have no competition in the division, they will win the SEC, they will make the playoffs and nobody is close to you"

Alrighty then Aaron.

It will take some good fortune and avoiding bad fortune . All ways does. If Mizzou's WRs could hold blocks a wee bit longer, which was more effort than anything, they win that game vs. us last year. I guess, we still win the rest then we're still champs, but a loss can come any week.

Bama was lucky to escape UGA in 2012 and needed some teams to lose in 2011 to get back to number two.

Arguably one of the strongest overall rosters and staff (relative to the era) that Nick Saban has had in his tenure, coming off an undefeated national championship season — and still the only team he's had since 2007 to lose three games.

Maybe his strangest outlier over all 15 years.

It's a mystery.

I don't understand this at all. Bama lost a lot from 09 and it was not a surprise they lost 3 games. Back end of the defense was basically garbage. Young guys that would be good, but they were not good in 2010. UF had the same issue in 2007. Didn't they lose 2 first rounders from the back end to the NFL? The OL was mostly younger guys that came on strong in 2011 / 2012 if I remember correctly. I just remember that team and watching them, and thought, there's not a chance this team wins a ring of any sort this year. They were a shadow of the 08 and 09 teams. Talented but not dominant and still too young. Spurrier victimized that defense.

For me, the outlier in the Saban era was the 08 team - amazing team, but seemed a year ahead of schedule. Really a masterful job by Saban that year.

No reason to worry about anyone that's not on your schedule yet. What good would that do?

Apparently, even fellow thUGA qb’s don’t have much respect for grand-pappy Stets.

From a talent POV Bennett was, at best, serviceable...anyone who says that ain't so has probably got an agenda other than straight up honesty. The difference was the intangibles...he is a winner. He had the team...not an easy thing to accomplish without being a DUDE amongst the team, especially in the NIL and free agency era. Aaron Murray is privy to more than most people when it comes to UGA...the apparent talent difference is very visible...if Murray has seen a similar DUDE characteristics in Beck it is plausible the talent/DUDE combo indicates he will better than Bennett, good as Bennett was at UGA.

Not to mention that Bama needed a miraculous last-minute drive to beat LSU in 2012 as well

And Oklahoma State to completely shite the bed in their conference game

Bama winning it all in 2021 and Ohio State repeating in 2016 were also forgone conclusions.

So the team that is better this year has a better chance of sitting at home this Dec than last years team?

I’m starting to realize that Georgia fans really don’t know jack shite about our football team or just choose not to know it.

I didn't say anything about your chances.

I just wrote us in.

You do realize that you got beat pretty bad by Tennessee, A&M, and Georgia?

You can be significantly improved and still not make it to Atlanta.

After this interview, he went to the kitchen to get a Diet Coke- where he was promptly speared in the back by Nick Fairley.

But oh that gauntlet of a schedule with TN Martin, Ball State and that tough SEC East. And how I could forget Georgia Tech.
