I don't care what team it is, if you're a ref, but also a fan of ANY SEC team, you shouldn't be allowed to work ANY SEC games.

Just going to say that is really hard rule to implement because it is open to interpretation. Finding a male in their 30-60s living in southeast that is extremely interested and educated in football not having even a degree of allegiance to any SEC program... that is tough. My father went to Tulane but has worn an Alabama hat and likely has at least one picture of him wearing it. Does that disqualify him? I'm sure some rando on the internet that would find that picture say so but my dad honestly doesn't give a shite what SEC teams succeed or fail.

Dang, people have been photoshopping an Alabama logo onto officials when the whole time it should have been an Auburn logo. No wonder Auburn gets so lucky.
Seriously though, for a SEC referee to post a profile picture wearing a logoed hat of any SEC team means they either a) are dumb as hell, or b) have zero fear of the league doing something about it.
Three of the four games that people use as examples of how bad this guy is involved either Alabama, Auburn, or both. And in those games, the calls went for Auburn and against Alabama. An absolutely wrong call lead to an Auburn win over Arkansas. A very subjective penalty, one of 17 penalties, led to an Alabama loss. And while it appeared they wanted Auburn to win the Iron Bowl. they couldn’t keep Auburn’s punt returner from fumbling and then 4th and 31 from happening.
I bet 4 and 31 tore his soul out last year. I know one thing, if I had known that Autrey was an Auburn fan it would have changed the way I bet on any Auburn or Alabama game he was officiating.

yeah they suck
both teams have huge complaints
and he doesn’t know what the symbols in the jerseys mean
and by symbols on the jersey I mean numbers. this guy was just guessing all day who the penalty was on.

At the very least it should disqualify him from officiating Alabama games.

Bitching about refs when blowing a 17-0 lead is something. I don’t think even us LSU fans have gone to those lengths
