Tennessee and Arkansas will both dump their coaches after 2 years. Mason surviving at Vandy is about a coin flip. I will be shocked if either of the Mississippi teams fire their coaches. And Auburn definitely isn’t firing Malzahn.

Why would someone like Mayer or Stoops go to Arkansas?
Arkansas?
If Arkansas could get someone of that quality, they would have already. You are not getting one of them to live in Arkansas unless you paid them 75 million dollars or something stupid like that.
Arkansas! You people are nuts. Maybe the Tulane coach would go to Arkansas but not Mayer. No way.

Ole Miss - Luke's the stopgap guy to get OM through the Freeze sanctions. No clue who they try to replace him with if he's fired (another former Freeze assistant?) Mississippi State - Joe Moorhead looks in over his head in the SEC. Puzzling hire...MSU could move on or JM could bolt for an assistant job in an easier conference.

Those two head coach deserve another year. MSU injuries and suspension of players for 8 games took the toll on the team. Got to give head coach another year.
Ole Mississippi hired a new OC. The offense is getting better. I would give another year to see if they get better players on defense. Maybe hire a DC if defense is still bad.
Missouri is making process each year with Barry Odom as the head coach. If Missouri is giving Odom time then both Mississippi school need give their head coach more time too.

Now that would funny as hell.

If you are looking for an SEC West re-tread, Les Miles at State is far more realistic than Freeze. LSU fans wouldn’t be angry like OM fans would be if Freeze were at State, but it would definitely be interesting.

LSU - After another scoreless loss to the dreaded Tide, the Tigers will cut ties with local favorite and similarly talking Edward MF Orgeron. He was a good guy that knew how to make non-conformist roux.

Gus' problem is that with every passing year, his quality depth is getting thinner and thinner. Auburn hasn't finished with a top ten recruiting class since 2016, and the 2020 class doesn't look like it's going to help much. The longer Gus stays, the bigger of a rebuilding job Auburn's going to be.

PJ Fleck

Fleck was my choice when Miles was fired. Young coach with huge upside. That said I'm good with O. O has surprised everyone. It's always good to see a guy rise above and learn from the past.

Fleck has the potential to be one of those long tenured successful coaches. Like a Riley from Oklahoma. I really wouldn't want him at Auburn. In truth he's the kind of coach Bama should look at when Saban steps down.

Perfectly fine, because we all know it’s not a step up. It’s a move because he knows he’ll be fired within a year if he keeps on this path.

There’s some truth to your comments; disagree on the part about living in AR. That said, a “name” coach has a price, and there’s one out there that can be bought. Arkansas can certainly “back up the brinks truck “. The question is, will they.

I know it sounds crazy...…. but, Joe Moorhead to Rutgers.

If he gets the offer he'd better take it or he'll be an assistant somewhere else really soon.

At the absolute best he's going to finish 6-6 but based on performances thus far 5-7 or 4-8 is more likely.
