Haynesworth criticized Tennessee for failing to interview Tee Martin, the Vols' wide receivers coach and former quarterback, for the opening. Haynesworth signed with the Vols in 1999, just a few months after Martin led Tennessee to its only modern national championship.
"Obviously Tennessee Vols take Tee Martin for granted!" Haynesworth wrote in a post on Facebook. "Why do (expletive) on him, hell he even reduce his salary to help the university out when he didn’t have to?? Is it bc he’s black? UT won’t even interview him."

Haynesworth is nuts. Appreciate his time as a player but he's been certifiable since he left and only gets worse as the years go by.

Tee Martin? He couldn’t get hired a UT Martin. If he got an interview it would only be because he’s black. He had zero resume to be a head coach. This is amazing.

This is out of hand. The idea that theres institutional racism everywhere now and it's the reason for every institutions decision not to hire a black employee for any position is bullshite. It's ridiculous. Tell Haynesworth to get a grasp of the english language before he starts ranting as well...it makes him sound like an even bigger idiot than his argument does to begin with. What a joke.

I'm sure we're guilty of more than that along with everyone else but that's the root of it and why these complaints get voiced on twitter instead of in private chats. The players from Fulmer's teams are very invested in seeing UT win again and they have a ton of faith in Tee. Tee's a great guy and a hard worker. I get it but he's also not qualified to be HC at UT right now. It would end his career more than it would help it (and I'm a huge fan of Tee).
If Elliott hadn't said 'no' he would've been our HC and lot of players in Tee's corner would still be complaining about Tee not being HC. They just wouldn't be complaining that it was systemic racism.

Tee Martin from what I can tell is a terrible coach. However, he can recruit. So he could be a CEO coach like Orgeron if given the chance
