Thanks EKG. I would say I owe you a beer, but holy shite I would be intimated meeting you in person.

Gotcha.
Absolutely, more Longhorns live in Austin than do Ags.
Didn't mean to imply otherwise.

They have different flavors, brah. Speck gets that delicious, salty, fresh taste while Rainbow tastes like doo doo. You ever had ray? Stingray, that is. It reminded me of lemonfish a lot. This post was edited on 3/11 at 6:34 pm
Ate both. If you have only ate farm raised trout, or stockers out of a stream you have not ate trout. A good stream raised trout will be red meat and is great. My favorite fish are pompano, trout, crappie and snapper.

I think that's (intimidated?) one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.
You can buy me multiple beers. And then a scotch or two.

It is true though. You represent some of the best parts about being an Aggie. You live on the high road, you don't just take it.
And for a shithead like me that is hella intimidating.
Heck just the fact you drink Scotch is intimidating. I am so not man enough for Scotch.

Dude.... It's a place where you make your own fun.
It's 100% better than it was 10 years ago.
The Brazos Valley nor the town have the same natural beauty as some beautiful college towns in the SEC.
It's nothing personal. What's cool about A&M is that you make real friends with cool people, and there is tremendous school spirit.

Texas BBQ blows. Any place where brisket is a staple of their BBQ sucks. Carolina BBQ is the best. Love the apple cider vinegar based pork.

Beer can chicken. Problem solved. Got a recipe for that Rebel? I am intrigued.
Drink half the beer from 12oz can, fill with liquid crab boil, stand up on your grill.

Not all scotch is created equal. Islay scotch or gtfo.

I'll second this statement my friend

Why do LSU people keep inferring that any Ag said College Station is better than other college towns?
Because the OP said "above average bar scene"?

Yeah but anything is better than dry BBQ chicken. Would rather eat a vegan gluten free pizza.

I didn't want to get political but ISIS drives me nuts. We should have told Turkey to frick off the Kurds get a country ten years ago, and then we could have the kind of force needed in the middle east to turn them into the Islamic Parking Lot like they deserve.

Solid post.
I'll add that the Front Porch Song is probably the best damn ode to College Station anyone could ever pen.

I like you Brer. A lot. But the best ode is the classic The Noble Men Of Kyle the band plays.

Ahh ... you're a peaty guy.
Somehow that doesn't surprise me.
The Islays aren't among my favorites, but I enjoy an Ardbeg with my dad, each time I see him.
At the risk of being highly unoriginal, I'm a Speysider.
Aberlour A'Bunadh and I are inseparable.
