I personally like bone in chicken because I think it adds flavor but my wife/kids prefer boneless breasts. I am sure you can dry the boneless breats out but I have yet to do it.

I used to be able to grill chicken breasts almost perfectly. I didn't have a grill for a couple years and lost my touch.

Been 5 or 6 times. I mean there isn't any sort of "charm" or "mystique" and the campus is pretty ugly. But I mean if you can't have a good time in a college town you're doing it wrong.

Aggies diss Austin but move there in droves.

texashorn, like it or not, a considerable number of Ags are from Austin and move back home after school.
It's a big city.
UH and Rice are in Houston, and SMU is in Dallas; many Ags live in those cities as well.

Austin happens to be our state's capital.
UTex may be located there, but they certainly don't own the city.

No problem. Now, you have to be careful. If he has the extra large big green egg, the curvature of the dome is shallower, and you might not be able to stand the chicken up.

He has every sized egg. Even a tailgate one. He takes it seriously.

Thanks for the advice Wade!

I owed you a beer before this, now I double do.

While true, that doesn't make ATX pro-a&m by any stretch.

Oh don't be too hard on texashorn. He secretly respects me so he had to comment on my post somehow. I think posted more in this thread than any in a while and that is his batlight. He is good people, and decently smart. I would have a beer with him.

No freaking way. It is a Texas town. Aggies own the Austin burbs. All the poor UT weirdos can fight over the little apartments. I think the Wilco Aggie club is one of biggest you will find outside of Houston.

Anytime. I'm no grill master, but I recently took my old charcoal grill back from my dad, and it's so seasoned I barely need to marinate anything. Still, about the most exciting thing I've done since I got it was cedar plank salmon and bacon wrapped jalapeno shrimp.

Baton Rouge at Thanksgiving this year? EH?! Speaking of beer, what's your flavor? You into craft? I was drinking nothing but stouts over the winter, with the gut to prove it, but Shiner has long been one of my favorite breweries.

Cedar plank is amazing.

Maybe! I need to get back there to see family soon. I got a promotion that is kicking my arse for vacation time though.

As far as beer my favorite overall is Oktoberfests. I love a good red. I do like craft beers, as long as it doesn't take the ten year old theory of hop your brains out. Of course I love Shiner, its my go to. I also love Abita Gold, but I can't get that here. I can only get Turbodog, Haze and the seasonal beer.

I don't think I was being hard on him; I was responding to his "Ags move to ATX in droves" post.

I'd rather live in a place with culture than the generic wasteland of Georgetown/Pflugerville or really any other part of Texas north of 51st street or south of Ben White

That is what I think but then the Horn says freaking Leander is Austin.

True. The high cost of living skews things. Still poor on a Texas standard though, the wages here are shite. Part of that is every college educated bozo with a guitar feels he "deserves" to live in Austin. Every position has too many qualified applicants.

I better get used to it though. Wife got a new job downtown and is already talking about moving closer. And I can't afford the million plus it takes to get the burb feel in Austin.

I mean I get your point. It is just different strokes.

Went there and people were nice and we had a great time. Honestly the only reason people dump on you guys is bc aesthetically the campus isn't very pretty and a lot of the sec campuses are.

I have been multiple times and it's the most boring campus I've ever been to.

I'm sorry you had to go there.
