Cam was relatively unknown except to Mullen. AU didn't even know about him

He was the #2 DT QB in his original class in 2007 and the #28 overall recruit. Then he was the #1 overall JUCO recruit. It was big news when he was kicked out of Florida. I wouldn't say he was a relative unknown to anyone.

Really good interview. Always wondered why he was playing behind Brantley at Florida.

I love that it was Mullen and his wife that called the NCAA on him and caused the whole shite show because they were mad

Auburn fans were mad as hell at MSU and Florida. They were saying Urban had a hand in it for some reason. I logged on the rant that morning and was like, "What in the hell is going on?"

What is “a large monetary sum of money?”

Sad to have gone to college and have the vocabulary of a third grader.

Congrats, this might be the dumbest shite I have seen on this site all offseason.

Was he not a fairly highly rated recruit when he initially went to Florida

One of the top. It was a big deal when he visited Auburn for junior day.

The idea that Cam “came out of nowhere” is absurd. He was heir to Tebow.

He was Tebow's backup in 2007.

Famously came in and reminded Tennessee where they belong

He started 2008 as the backup Then in the 2008 Spring Game he looked worse than any QB I've seen play. Couldn't hit a swing pass to the HB 5 yards out. I mean quite honestly I've never seen anyone play QB worse than that. Ended 6-18 for 53 yards.

He proceeded to get into minor trouble consistently, culminating in cheating at the end of the season then the laptop theft.

I doubt he would have stayed anyway, since Tebow stayed another year. Cam later claimed Tebow staying is what made him leave, as if he had a chance to come back

Cam was everyone’s #1 QB option out of Blinn.

Of course!

But Oklahoma wanted him as a tight end.

The other two schools (miss state, Kansas state) were the only ones smart enough to offer him a QB spot?

Here are the facts:
1. Cam was a well know athlete.
2. Very few schools thought he was worth it (as a QB) when he came out of Blinn.
3. Auburn offered him a spot as the QB.
4. He chose Auburn over miss state and Kansas state.
5. It did not require money to choose Auburn. It was his best option.
6. None of this means I think Auburn was innocent of paying players because all of us did it and do it now. Just that we did not pay Cam to come to Auburn. There was no reason to pay.

At least Auburn can reform them. You go to Bama to learn how to shoot single moms and kill people at excessive speeds.
